Unless you run samba on them you won't see the Linux machines on Windows as a network computer.

you need to install samba and setup a share on the linux box first.

this is more suited for r/linux4noobs.

If not already installed, install and configure Samba on your Ubuntu machine.

Make sure that both the Windows and Ubuntu machines are in the same Workgroup. In Ubuntu, this setting is in the /etc/samba/smb.conf file, under the [global] section as workgroup = WORKGROUP_NAME
