It's a shitty move from a shitty dude.

[–] redditsuckbadly@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (4 children)

How is he shitty? He’s never been anything but professional in his time on the Bulls

[–] DeepJunglePowerWild@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I’ve got no problems with Lavine all, but this is sorta the definition of unprofessional. Part of being a professional athlete is media availability, even when you don’t want to.

Also, what’s up with these bucks fans hating on Lavine? How did he hurt them lol

A player requests a trade and it suddenly becomes open season on them. It's absurd. This month has basically been the first time I've heard people talking about LaVine's character as a person (positively or negatively) in a long time. Seems silly to think he's become a cancer in the locker room when I haven't seen any reports suggesting that.

100% it happens every time in Chicago especially. Up until recently he's been the epitome of a hard worker and great teammate, but now suddenly he's an asshole and shitty person

[–] redditsuckbadly@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Bro do you remember how Chicago sent Rose packing? If they’ll do it to him they’ll do it to anyone.

[–] BaltimoreBadger23@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Players who blow off media like that after a win are shitty. She's trying to do her job.

[–] OG3SpicyP@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Just click on that dudes profile, you'll find out he's a jabroni in about 1-3 seconds.

Honestly, given the way the media in our city operates I can't blame him one bit. I've had my issues with Zach, but when the Bulls want to get rid of the team's best player, JR's team will passively spread rumors about him to the press. It happened with Rose, it happened with Butler, and it's happening again with Lavine. I'm not sure if we have the worst ownership in the league, but next to Dolan, not sure whether I can think of a more toxic owner than Reinsdorf.

[–] Gong_Show_Jamoke@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Happened with Coach Thibs too.

[–] iLuvRachetPussy@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

NGL, Dolan has washed his hands and now the Knicks are a good homegrown team on team friendly contracts. So I guess Leon was very strict about who ran Basketball Ops before taking the job. He also let Phil Jackson fuck over the team too lol . So he turned a nice little leaf the last decade.

Maybe he just had to poop

[–] ToodleDoodleDo@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Am I supposed to be mad at this or something?

Yeah I'm sure teams are lining up to trade this guy who definitely isn't the next Christian Wood Locker Room Killer

[–] Todemax@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yeah i dont think Lavine is a Christian Wood type

[–] Jegagne88@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Comparing Zach Lavine to Christian Wood is blasphemy

[–] Material_Unit4309@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Beat me to it…..man of culture, I see.

[–] topkingdededemain@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Good.

Not even mad at him. Bro has been through a lot.

Let him go

[–] LoWE11053211@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

so

will he borrow the fat suit from harden?

[–] T_025@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Why would he listen to Bulls staff, he’s a Laker

[–] KuntaWuKnicks@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He knows they won right?

[–] 3s2ng@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

He knew they were going to ask him about the trade rumors. He gave them the middle finger and gave the media another material aside from the trade rumors.

[–] Timbaland77@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Is this actually it? I've been wondering why this is turning into a thing. The video doesn't look that bad for somebody outside the loop.

[–] ephemeralfugitive@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

maybe he has to the bathroom 🙂

[–] Jscott1423@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Why do they feel entitled to put their hands on somebody….

[–] cantwatchscottstots@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

You put your hands on someone, you run the risk of them not being ok with it. Pretty mature of Zach to just let it go.

[–] Dave_Autista@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Because its loud and he might not register if she only says "excuse me zach"

[–] Necessary_Initial350@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I mean this is probably a bias or overreaction on my part, but I’m not a big fan of how aggressively the reporter is trying to get his attention.

I’d be irked if someone was tryna grab me like that.

[–] bullpaw@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Chicago media is furious about this but I really couldn't care less lol let the man go to the lockerroom without grabbing him

[–] topkingdededemain@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Chicago media sucks. It’s bunch of people who weren’t good enough for New York.

Like Chicago is it’s own city the media shouldn’t be just a copy of NYC

[–] dkdoki@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Don’t understand how a franchise that had the GOAT and is a huge market is such a shit show of a franchise now. Is there no scandals with the reinsdorfs for someone to leak? Bulls fans deserve way better

[–] CaviarHoly@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

KG put it best, I believe:

"I saw how Jerry (Reinsdorf), how they did Mike, you know, keeping it 100. And all players keep that in the back of their minds. If you treat the greatest like this … the greatest didn’t even have a chance to come back and have ownership. What he invested to build the Bulls, he didn’t even get a chance to come back and reap the benefits of that, so … players see that and remember that or put that in the back of their minds. At least I did."

Basically no one wants to play for a franchise that forced the GOAT to retire, underpaid his Robin for years, traded their hometown MVP for nothing, and refused to pay Jimmy Butler.
