My favorite release of Watches & Wonders 2023. I rushed over to the JLC boutique to put my name down and 7 months later I got the call. They said I'm 1 of 2 to receive it this year and they have over 300 pre-orders (that boutique alone). This is a grail level piece for me and I feel very lucky to be an owner of a very special JLC. This watch already looks insane in photos, it's even better in real life.

The watch itself is beautiful, but the way it wears on your wrist doesn't make any justice to it and rob all its charm. Try wearing it on your forearm, it might look better...lol
The watch looks way larger in the photo for some reason. It actually doesn't look so big irl.

Not a fan of skeletons, but looks pretty decent.
I am falling in love with the way square and rectangle watches look lately and this is just wow. Havent fallen in love with a lot of jlc stuff (havent looked much either. Hopefully in 10 or 20 years ill be in that tax bracket!) But this is up there on perfect.
Didn't realize how much presence that thing has. It's much larger than I realized. I'm glad to know.
As to be expected with two dials and a chronograph, but please note I have really dainty wrists. Might look better on you!
eh... to each their own. but a rectangular watch looks really bad too big on the wrist. and all the class and elegance of the reverso is ruined by how busy and meh that watch looks.
it's bullshit stacked up to look important. screams new money. which is the antithesis of the reverso.
Interesting perspective and I don't disagree with you. I feel they are trying to attract new/younger buyers which in this case I think they've succeeded. At the end of the day, they are a business trying to stay relevant.

Lovely watch mate. I’m personally done adding (once my bel canto arrives this month-ish) with mechanicals and keep it to a 9-10 max for the collection. I’m starting to gravitate towards these “grail” / OUT THERE types (Freak X, Breguet Tradition 70xx, other “special” reversos) for an “exit” watch… because I don’t really want to replace anything in my collection but don’t want to grow without significance.
Anyway ignore the size haters - watch is fine and in a mirror would look normal. Plus fuck let people notice that shit (even though we know no one cares but us). Envious to have found something that special and meaningful…. I’m not gonna rush it I hope something speaks to me between now and turning 50 (I’m 41 ha)

It's such a beautiful piece and it really pops. I dress quite casually, but it still makes it in the rotation. I'm not a fan of the strap/butterfly buckle so I ordered some straps from thestraptailor.
