Don't worry, your eth is safe. There are many ways to recover it, but I'd recommend installing metamask on your browser, connecting it to ledger and switching network in metamask to Polygon. You can then transfer the assets somewhere else on polygon or bridge to Ethereum. There are detailed guides online for each step.

Just add your Polygon account to Ledger Live and you should see the ETH there.
Simply pop in the polygon chain details into your metamask and voila, your ETH will transform into WETH. But let's be real here, keep an eye on those transactions or you might accidentally send some of your precious BNB, DOT, SOL, TON (and potentially regret it later). So take a moment to read and approve before diving in with a small amount.
As others explained, it seems like your money is fine. But if you had to ask this, STOP SENDING CRYPTO and learn how wallets actually work.

Ethereum is about the biggest fn scam there ever was.. the GAS FEES says it all, there are no excuses at this point in the game Wanted to charge me 45 dollars to swap 15 dollars worth.. NO EXCUSE, ITS CALLED GREED
i didn't know inanimate code could be greedy.
Gas is based on a bid system - others are bidding the prices up when you want them low. They are paying to get transactions through faster, which drives up the price. It's the market at play, nothing more.
