[Question] What do people know about "Longine" (no s)? Legit vintage brand? (alien.top)

They seem to have made an Electra line, and at least one with the label says "Swiss Made" on it: https://shopgoodwill.com/item/184124510

I thought it was a fake, but at least one person on here said that "Longine" was a real brand. The Goodwill responded to me with:

Hi, this item is from a lower brand made around the same time period as Longines and is not counterfeit.

Obviously, "same time period" covers pretty much everything and everyone. Thanks.

Reading a few forums and going by the name, possibly made for a specific market cheap Swiss movement watch which is cashing in on the Longines similarity. There are brands with similar names out there like you said (Mathey Tissot and Tissot) but this seems more intentional.

Chinese based brand trying to cash in on Longines name recognition and hoping people make the mistake and buy it. See also, Hormilton, Omeqa
