At 10-5 the Heat are tied for the 2nd best record in the East and 4th best record in the NBA through 15 games. Lots to like about this team to start season.

The Heat is not a contender, at best a play-in team , probably will lose the playoffs. They lost Strus and Vincent.

Well it’s still soon on the season. Reaching roughly 20% , but seams that people never learn. I am not talking about here or others teams sub, but the specialized media .

3 conference finals and 2 NBA finals last 4 years and they still count us out !

Heat Culture Baby! But in all seriousness, Spo is something else when it comes to maximizing talent.

I hate the heat so much. Go away fuckers

[–] nixed9@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

This is exactly how I felt about Tom Brady and the patriots for like two continuous decades. Like ok Tom we get that you’re the GOAT can you please just like, go away now?

[–] iiTryhard@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I totally see that. I probably would have despised him just like I’m starting to despise Mahomes if I wasn’t a pats fan. I’m so glad I got to watch him for my whole life, he’ll be my favorite athlete for all time

[–] fokerpace2000@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The feeling is mutual

[–] Efficient_Art_1144@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yeah I don’t know who this “some people never learn” is directed at but it ain’t the Celtics fans.

I will fear this team u til I see Jimmy butlers body out into his grave

[–] CaptainBananafishJr@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

1/5 of the league is 10-5 lol, a bit too early for the I told you so's.

[–] milogee@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

When will you learn

[–] iksnet@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Herro is never beating the “team is better without him” allegations

[–] jagerhero@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Let’s gooo

[–] Acrobatic-Dog7044@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (4 children)

They don't even got Herro back yet since he's been out for a couple games damn they're taking off running this season.

[–] yummy_yum_yum123@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

The 4 game losing streak was pretty much just a processing thing. They had moments of looking good In those games it was more so Jimmy didn’t play a game, Bam didn’t play. Then figuring stuff out

[–] Long_Chance3583@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Haywood Richardson Martin Butler Bam all dealt with injuries at the start of the season

[–] 030-Heat@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

We always look like shit in the first few games, like the yearly meltdown against the magic

[–] Damn_DirtyApe@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The Magic are good this year so maybe we can actually beat them now.

[–] Clemsontigger16@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Couple of games? He has been out for weeks

[–] CurryMustard@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Hes been out for the last 10 games, 9 of which were wins

[–] Turk0luu@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Duncan Robinson is back. Bro needs to drop a podcast now

[–] Wingsof6@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Give the man a break, he can’t be celebrating his birthday and podcasting at the same time

[–] dr_ally@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

"Hello Everyone! Welcome back to the Happy Birthday Duncan Podcast, with your host Duncan Robinson."

[–] n0th1ng10@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He played very well last playoffs.

[–] ThrowRA19988@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Magic are 10-5 too…

Neither record is real. These teams have just had easy schedules

[–] MiaCannons@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Comparing the Heat to the Magic is dangerously stupid, holy shit

[–] ThrowRA19988@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

You’re right, Magic have way more upside whereas the Heat have very clearly hit their ceiling

[–] ComprehensiveFront22@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I’ve heard the Magic have had upside for over 20 years. I’m more inclined to believe they’ll screw up this batch of talent as they do with all their young talent.

[–] MiaCannons@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Uh huh. Let's go with that.

Aside from that, the Heat have arguably the best coach in the league, two players that are much better than the Magic's best player, and have consistently shown their hot starts aren't flukes by actually making the postseason and regularly making deep playoff runs.

[–] ThrowRA19988@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I don’t see a ring. Heat ain’t anything special.

[–] DEEZLE13@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Same can be said about the Celtics and Sixers lol bozo take

[–] ThrowRA19988@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)
[–] DEEZLE13@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Oh the irony

[–] DeepJunglePowerWild@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Their schedule hit a super easy stretch right when they needed it to regain their footing and they took advantage of it. Good for them.

[–] yummy_yum_yum123@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Road games, and Bostons schedule has been easy too

[–] DeepJunglePowerWild@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Yeah I have no problem with the Heat at all. My problem is with OP jerking it because the Heat beat teams who want to lose.

[–] ix_elvn@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

You seem stressed

[–] KayRay1994@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Duncan is back, Haysmith is showing up, JJJ is really proving himself and Bam took a step forward - I still think we should move Tyler (great player, clearly took a step up, but his offensive style does seem to clash with the team), but at the same time we can afford to wait for the right offer

[–] CruffTheMagicDragon@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

This post is confusing to me. Why are you saying they’re a play-in team while also saying how good they are?

[–] Camctrail@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The Heat is not a contender, at best a play-in team

They've had the most success by far out of any team in the East since Jimmy arrived there, 2 Finals and another CF in 4 years, and people are really still acting like they're not contenders.

The East runs through Miami until proven otherwise

[–] YpsitheFlintsider@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Y'all keep upvoting this bot lol

[–] SoKrat3s@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

This is just a bunch of nonsense. The Heat had some detractors, but by in large they were talked about all offseason as a top-4 team in the East. All summer people were talking about who the playoff teams were after MIL, BOS, & MIA.

[–] Candid_Sand_398@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Several national media basketball guys said they may not even be a play in team because they “lost 2 starters” from their finals team. Several. This year’s Heat team is significantly deeper.

[–] SoKrat3s@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Several. Oh well. Now who could argue with several.

I mean, I've person after person after person after person talk about the Heat as the 3rd best team in the East all summer. But I can't argue with several.

They were widely regraded as a strong team in the Eastern conference. Several detractors does not make up that wide majority.

Teams like Philly and Dallas - those teams were routinely dismissed by the media. The Heat weren't.

Don't make this into an issue that didn't really exist.

[–] Candid_Sand_398@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I mean, the downvotes tell the story. “Widely regarded as a top 4 seed” is patently false.

Here were the storylines for the Heat all summer….

“Heat fail to acquire Dame and fail the off-season.”

“Heat don’t make any moves and lose 2 Finals starters.”

“Heat have no assets.”

“They may not be a play in team with these losses and failure to bring in more talent.”

Check Marc Spears, Kevin O’Connor, Bleacher Report or any of the guys with national shows save for maybe Nick Wright.

[–] Candid_Sand_398@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

With 9 different starting lineups, the most in the young NBA season

[–] Clemsontigger16@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I’m impressed they have done well, especially after the start and losing Herro..but the wins haven’t really been against the best competition. Lots of mid or straight up bad teams.

Keep it up and start beating some top playoff teams and I’ll be right there with you.
