I feel like every era has a few players who start off looking nothing more than role players but they end up becoming stars or even mvps. Some examples just from the past 10 years are Steph, Lowry, Kawhi, Giannis, and Jokic. Who do you think currently has the potential to follow in these players foot steps and potentially make the jump to superstar status? Imo the ones I can see happening are Tyrese Maxey who’s having a breakout season rn and I also think keyontae George can be a Donovan Mitchell type player.

I'm still high on Evan Mobley

He's going to need some massive improvement offensively to be top 10.

yeah, if Bam has never been top 10, Mobley has his work cut out for him.

He may not have the most efficient shit right now but the guy just moves like a pure baller. Reminds me of rookie Anthony Edwards

Hella impressed with his all-around game. This draft class is crazy yo.

I want to believe in him for the Hornets. I feel for that fanbase. Want that boy to do well with Charlotte. Hornets deserve his success. (Even if he sounds like an airhead at times.

Ant is the closest right now. Just a matter of time, like even this season.

My money is on Jalen Brunson. I believe in that guy so much. Hurts me that he choose the Knicks over us but I still believe in him.

Brandon Miller, I think he’s part of that Tatum/PG wavelength

Top 10 is a high mark and nearly impossible to hit. To be top 10 you basically have to be the best player within 2 draft classes of you most likely.

Lebron Steph KD have locked down spots for a decade or more. And they’re going to keep going and then someone in the 11-15 will creep in but it’ll hardly be someone who is like a perennial 25-30 guy that can make some crazy ascension. It’ll be someone young with a huge growth trajectory.
