The fact that the Freddie Kitchens led Browns will have a much better record than the current Panthers is so discouraging. I would kill for 6-10 at this point.

At least you’ll get number 1 pick again

[–] JarvisProudfeather@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

The bears have our number one pick 😀🔫

[–] Chadthebu11@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

...

You're telling me there's a chance the bears have the first 2 picks with Caleb Williams and MVH Jr on the board

[–] RashanAbdulSMITH@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

They'd figure out how to fuck that up...

Adam Gase panned out. He did exactly what everyone who isn't our dumbfuck front office thought he would.

Similarly Hackett is panning out right now as well as OC.

Bro Adam gase and the team just didn’t want to go 0-16.

Imagine a world were Zac Taylor made the Super Bowl before Matt Lafluer.

[–] jacks_sisters_boobs@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

So this one? Lafluer’s a good coach but he had 2x consecutive MVP Rodgers. I don’t think he’s that much better than Taylor.

[–] irsw@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Such a tired argument, go ahead and look at Rodgers' and the Packers performances for the two years leading up to Lafleur taking over. Maybe, just maybe Lafleur helped get Rodgers the 2 MVPs or you can just assume that Lafleur did nothing while being dragged along by Rodgers I guess.

No, I don't think I will

Holy hell I forgot all about Adam Gase

LaFleur - You could argue he's either good or was leaning on rogers. I'm thinking his seat will be a little warm next year.

Taylor - Good but he's not keeping burrow healthy

Arians - won a SB with Brady. He panned out enough.

kingsbury - no

Flores - garbage fire whose heat got a gutted team to over preform for one season. Nearly ruined a franchise QB who has been in the MVP conversation. Might work out as a DC.

Fangio - better DC than coach

Gase - Ahahahahahahahahahaha. I'm only laughing because the Jests signed him after we dumped him.

Kitchens - one and done, I'm going to say no.

I'll say this about LaFleur, he's got us at 5-6 with a bunch of first and second year skill position players. We've had some UGLY games but we look to be putting it together. If we somehow end up above .500, he won't be on the hot seat. All in all, I'm curious about his future here.

Flores is undeniably a great defensive play caller. The defenses were great in NE, though of course Belicheck gets a lot of that credit. But what he's doing this year with a pretty untalented Vikings defensive is quite amazing.

[–] Winterclaw42@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Yeah, that's why I'm leaving open the idea that he might work as a DC.

However I wouldn't let him anywhere near the offense, particularly the QBs, again. He did Fitz wrong by benching him all of a sudden while Tua was still healing. Then he had no problem benching Tua when the young QB had normal QB growing pains. In Tua's second year he thought 2 OCs and offensive playcalling by committee was fine.

Then he burnt the bridge as he left miami.

There's defensive talent but I wouldn't recommend him being a HC again, at least for awhile. Definitely not with a rookie QB either.

Taylor is shielded by his amazing talent, don’t think he’s a good coach

[–] SixxOne8@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I think he’s a fantastic head coach and a great leader. I also think he’s a below average play caller and the offense he has a large hand in is very much bailed out by generational talent.

[–] neasroukkez@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Can someone give me an objective answer as to why Kliff was viewed as a total bust of a head coach in Arizona by so many? Yes he may have underperformed with talent, but a near .500 record shouldn’t really warrant the type of hate I see him get.

Constant late season collapses. 8-8 is a lot worse when you start akin to a record like 6-2
