I think they’re both right in a way. It definitely is the greatest product it’s ever been in terms of entertainment. Also offenses have definitely improved in terms of coaching and player development. But defenses have stalled in those same two categories. The new rules definitely limits their ability to attack offenses and individual defenders have less traits to make themselves valuable
Brady is 100% right. The NFL is boring as hell to watch now. Offense is all checkdowns and screens. Waiting for defense to catch up....
Of course a QB thinks play is going down because offense is going down, but what does HoF defensive players think?
One of the reasons Brady and Belicheat were so good was because many other QB's and Coaches SUCKED. HEY TOM, how could a QB perform today if he had a Coach telling him what Defense the other Team was playing??????
Another reason they were so good is Brady "left" 100 million dollars on the table for other players. Was the playoff chat a payroll cheat as well? He milked the rich wife story.
