I feel as if 25 Under 25 is a little too broad and most of those guys are already established monsters like Luka so 23 and under really gives us the fresh, young talent and future.

Alright, any time you make a subjective list like this your gonna get torn to shreds no matter what the list is, go on tell me why I am wrong and why your favorite player should be higher.

Important:

- considers all components of the game: offense, rebounding, passing, efficiency, defense, etc.

- the ranking is based off: 60% this season, and 40% previous years and previous success and accolades (i.e if one guy is slightly worse than the other this season but has some really good previous accolades, he gets a higher rank, like Josh Giddey hasn't been good this year, but he makes it over someone like Ausar Thompson because he was really good last year and Thompson's only played a couple games)

- yes, this is a edited version of a list I posted yesterday due to the fact that I realized I had totally forgot to update and tweak the middle part of my list from the beginning of the season and it was weighted too heavily on the start of this season and the fact that I need to get a life

Giddey should be top 15

[–] wingram24@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Jayson Tatum should be up there.

[–] UnearthlyDinosaur@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I would put Banchero above Mobley

[–] Astro-LUV@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

OPs list isn’t too crazy but I’d put him below Sengun and above Herro

[–] TheyCallMeTheWizard@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Sengun gotta be top 5

[–] thejackel225@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I disagree with a few things but honestly pretty solid list

[–] dangheckinpupperino@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Gimme Jalen Johnson on this list

[–] theglicky@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Garland be fooling yall

[–] bigbenis2021@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

mobley should be two spots lower.

[–] StrangeAd5008@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Why scottie and banchero below sengun and herro

[–] DisturbedTomater@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

because they’re worse than sengun and herro

[–] jer113@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Because Sengun has been an absolute beast this year - look at his advanced numbers, he’s one of the most valuable guys in the league so far

[–] FOTASAL@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Barnes is 9th in the entire nba in EPM which is the golden standard of capture all advanced stats. Sengun is great too but he’s 19th. Scottie just brings so much defensively on top of what Sengun does. He’s been an animal on that end.

[–] Fantasy_Ball@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I’d put Giddey in cam Thomas’ place tbh

[–] Agnk1765342@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Chet should be #3

[–] le_sweden@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I think it is close, of course, but I’d like to hear y’all’s arguments for Hali over Ant. For me, his advantage on the defensive side of the ball makes me rate Ant higher despite how great Hali is on offense.

[–] Astro-LUV@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

He’s a better scorer than he needs to be compared to his generational (maybe) passing and playmaking, being the engine of the #1 offense in the NBA, on top of being one of the best three point shooters in the league

I wouldn’t argue too much if someone would take Ant over him but Hali is just insane to start out this year

[–] Pepeloveshimself22@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

basically my thoughts for Hali over ANT. The effeciency and playmaking ability combined with lack of turnovers is insane. Also Haliburton's defense is underrated. He averages 1 steal and 0.7 blocks a game (nuts for a guard). Last year he averaged basically 2 steals a game.

[–] jonnylaw@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

His defense is fucking terrible. Have you watched the Pacers play?

[–] Routine_Size69@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Hali is a disaster of a defender. Evaluating a point guard by steals and blocks is peak "I don’t watch them play" evaluation. Allen Iverson, one of my favorite players ever, lead the league in steals for three straight years. He was one of the worst defenders in the league. Some high steal players like CP3 are good defenders, but a lot of them are terrible.

[–] Timoteo-Tito64@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Herro over holmgren is a disastrous pick

[–] Aeronova20@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

paolo way too low

[–] SUPERSAMMICH6996@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I think Herro is way too high.

[–] Musicferret@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Herro above Barnes?!? lol no.

[–] durablewaffle@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

It’s still bad, just not as bad as your list yesterday

[–] SimmonsClearsHartubs@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Cam Thomas should be above rj

[–] David_Griffin_@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I’d put Trey Murphy above a few of those guys

[–] String_Gloomy_JR@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Chet should be #1

[–] rumblegod@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Jalen green should be top 10

[–] ReggieZoldyk21@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

If LaMelo had the whistle of the 3 dudes in front of him, he would easily be number one

[–] cwesttheperson@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Haliburton hardly gets the whistle lol

[–] Garthtav@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

If zion got the whistle he's supposed to get he'd be clear number 1

[–] User-B312@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)
[–] ImpossibleLeague9091@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Can't believe there hasn't been more comments on this one. His best quality is to spark a winning streak when he gets hurt

[–] juantravis@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Ant number one

[–] Equal_Ad8061@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Sengun is much better than Garland and arguably better than zion rn

[–] Garthtav@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)
[–] Octavian2120@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Well for zion i dont know if its a wild take especially if you consider availability as a skill too. Zion sits at 127 games vs senguns 161 while the latter was drafted in 2021

[–] Garthtav@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

This is just recency bias. Sengun has never showed production on Zion's level, even if that's mostly due to how to offense has used him. You have a point with injuries but regardless through those 127 to 161 games there's a gap.

Come back to his argument at the end of the season.

[–] everyoneneedsaherro@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

First one of these lists I’ve seen give Sengun the proper respect

[–] AllOutRaptors@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I'd this saying if Toronto called up Miami and offered Barnes for Herro, thar Miami would say no? That's so absurd

Also how is Garland at 5 over all these players
