Just received my SHP9500 today, was so worried that they're gonna sound literal tin-cans like the Samson SR850s I tried before. But after EQ'ing these using the preset of u/Shields42, I think they sound amazing paired with the Conexant CX31993 plugged into my computer.

I enjoy my Elliott Smith records now, more than ever.

It's comfy as hell too, and maybe my ears are just different, but I don't hear the "grainy" highs from high hats. I think they sound really clear.

I think my SHP's sound like the opposite of tin cans. To me they feel like a warm hug for my ears every time I listen to them. I'm sensitive to treble and I love warm bass so these are perfect for me. Enjoy!

I own the SR850 and the SHP9500 and I though for the money, they were both killer deals on the headphone market. I never felt the SR850 was lacking anything that would make them sound tinny.
