It’s a very rate feat. The last ones who did it were:

  • Tim Duncan (1998)

  • David Robinson (1990)

  • Michael Jordan (1985)

  • Larry Bird (1980)

Kareem and Wilt also did it. It was a bit more common in the past because players would usually spent 3-4 years in college before entering the NBA.

Since All-NBA is now positonless the question is basically whether he’ll be a top 15 player to play 65 games this seasons and he might be, but I doubt it

[–] No-Equipment-20@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Yes I would

I will bet all your money

Chet is #29 in DPM and #18 in PER, All-Star is possible but I doubt he'll get All-NBA

[–] mmaguy123@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

No way he gets picked as an all star since it isn’t done by metrics.

Media would die if Chet becomes a rookie all star and wemby doesnt.

First fake rookie since Ben Simmons

[–] BcuzRacecar@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Its completely positionless so top 15 guys

curry shai luka hali lebron kd tatum giannis embiid jokic

then 5 spots for like 15 guys at the next level which he is in, but the odds are against him. Especially considering voters know hes a rookie

[–] Steko@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

How many of those guys played 65 games last year? I realize more will try to hit 65 going forward but you can’t just assume all those slots are locked up.

[–] AnkitPancakes@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

even if it wasn't positionless, nah. Jokic, Embiid, Bam, Sabonis are easily better. I'd probably have them in that order and that ignores KAT/Rudy who are in the convo

[–] ether_ver256@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

There is a real possibility that he won’t play more than 65 games, so yes.

[–] Western-Carpet266@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Without question yes - he's not that good rn c'mon

[–] Beautiful_Ad55@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

But will he be that good in April?

[–] sharklavapit@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

wishful thinking is not a criteria for all-NBA yet

[–] ChoiceStar1@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I can’t foresee him keeping this level of production but should he he certainly has a case to make… or Id bet against him all things even though

[–] Tom_Saltzman@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

what odds am i betting him at?

Yes. For sure. God damn the Chet Sweat (that’s what I call being obsessed with Chet) is crazy on here

[–] Jayjaybingz@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Didnt blake griffin make it?

[–] ClaimFederal6971@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I'm not expecting the 7-footer coming off a foot injury to play enough games to qualify

[–] Many_Home_1769@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Not even the best player in his team

[–] Tales_of_Endurance@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Yoy don't even know that the last player who did it was Blake Girffin and just go on trying to hype Chet. Chet is awesome, don't get me wrong, but there are other players deserving to be all-star ahead of him. All NBA team seems almost impossible.

Edit: These are Blake's stats at the All-star break:

22.8p / 12.6r / 3.5a

[–] Beautiful_Ad55@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

You don’t even know that Blake Griffin didn‘t do it

[–] mido0o0o@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I wish but there is no way.

[–] Tabais123@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

He’s putting up same numbers as Porzingas. Realistically his only chance is a whole lot of injuries so the top people don’t qualify.

But what are the chances he even makes 65?
