Lonzo is out for two seasons. LaMelo got a season ending injury last season. And last game he got injured again. I mean, these guys get injured all the time. Is it the way they train? Or is it really the sneakers? Lol

Big Baller Biology

maaaaaaan, get outta here. Lonzo is 7 foot 10 with the body of Jim Brown and the blood of Keith Richards. LaMelo is a cyborg based upon my Baller Brand shoe technology. And LiAngelo is the ladies man of the G-Spot League

nevah lost. NEVAH LOST

Ran their legs to dust before they came into the league. They also don't know how to workout right

They also don't know how to workout right

Crossfit of NBA players.

[–] SubcooledBoiling@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

A coupled of months ago I saw a video of their dad showing off LiAngelo overhead-presing what they claimed was 400 lbs. The mechanics and the forms were so bad dude looked like he was working on his legs.

Overuse when they were young. Young athletes gotta rest and play other sports.

[–] Supreme_God_Bunny@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Who said LaMelo was done for the season?

[–] Dry_Salamander_9437@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

He was done for the season last year after an injury, not this year.

[–] chinoisbonkers@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Because they’re as soft as a sack

Ultimately any NBA player over like 6'5 is a genetic freak. Those bodies probably aren't supposed to be exposed to the level of activity that NBA players have to go through in their careers.

[–] Overall-Palpitation6@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

This.

The human body isn't really designed for the regular pounding a professional athlete or prospective professional athlete will give it, especially if you are above-average height/weight, like basketball players mostly are.

Some can handle it, or develop their bodies to handle it, bit some simply can't. It seems like the Ball brothers simply can't.

They play a lot of sport games. It happens to everyone if you play enough sport games.

[–] SpursExpanse@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Did you see the video of Lonzo doing standing curls? It’s poor body mechanics training. Millionaire kids do what they want and will hire yes bros around them

[–] mxgicjohnson@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Their dad trained them from the league practically since the day they could walk

And on top of that, shitty diet could play a part of it. LaMelo seems like the type dude that eats like a middle schooler. I know not too long ago, Lonzo made it a point that he was gonna try to get him & his brothers to eat cleaner

Bad biotech

[–] Queasy_Sky1508@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

They have bad knees can tell when they run that are laboring like they hate running and walking its common among athletes.

[–] RonnieLottOmnislash@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Their bloodline is weak. They will not survive the winter

[–] PestyAssassin33WU93@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Probably genetics. Lonzo and LaMelo both have really skinny legs. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if their dad taught them bodybuilding exercises for strength training rather than exercises focused on basketball performance and athleticism. So their joints are really weak and more prone to injury

[–] clancycharlock@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Some families are just predisposed. Look at Michael porter jr - his sister who also hoops tore her acls like 4 times, and some other siblings too had issues

[–] Dry_Salamander_9437@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I think their case may be different, they grew up vegetarian, him and all of his siblings. However you feel about dietary choices, I do not think raising your kids vegetarian helps them and their immune system.

Read up on the father of Todd Marinovich.

[–] Le4-6Mafia@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I remember seeing videos of Lonzo "lifting" and being absolutely horrified. I'm sure there's more to it than that but it's definitely part of it

[–] PolarBearLaFlare@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I read that their dad had them in AAU since they were like 4-5 so their legs have a ton of mileage on them.

[–] 30vanquish@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Genetics and bad training. Look at Steph curry. It took surgeries, learning how to fall, running on his tippy toes more, and huge ankle braces to become what he became.

[–] Leoman89@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I would say over use and a terrible strength and conditioning program. Also most athletes don’t start adding injury prevention into their workouts until they are much older. Something I I wish I did in my 20s

[–] overweighttardigrade@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Just take a look at them my guy

[–] DoubleAmigo@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Well neither of them wear the shoes and havent for years. Lamelo never wore BBB shoes in the NBA or the year before he was drafted.

[–] NBARef15@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Daddy genes

[–] ACCBAN4TRUTHTELLING@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I don’t really follow Lonzo too much to know his injury history, but Lamelo always had the weirdest history to me with what feels like freak accidents leading to injury. Also his first two years he never had a single ankle injury (he had a wrist and hip injury). Then all of a sudden last year he had 4 ankle injuries and a shoulder injury throughout the year. Idk it’s weird to say but it honestly feels like really really bad luck with how some of them played out.

[–] Pretend-Square8686@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Nobody is giving you a real answer but it's genetics. Families in pro sports usually excel at certain things while remaining vulnerable at others. Look at seth curry. Good/great 3pt shooter just like his bro, but just not as good. But they both made the nba. Look at the giannis bros. They're on the same team and also play the same way, but giannis is way better.

Also clout, I doubt giannis brother makes the nba without giannis' influence.
