After being punched in the back by a Vikings player

[–] waitingtodie@lemm.ee 1 points 1 year ago

And taunting thrown on top for good measure.

Refs in all sports have beccoke awful after sports betting started being pushed. It’s like they do whatever they want with no regard to the sport

refs were doing all they could to keep minnesota in this game. The Bears were also doing all they could to keep them in the game though. It's insane that we won this and I fucking hate it.

This penalty is unhinged. I remember awhile back Keanu Neal got penalized 15 yards for taking off his helmet after going down with a torn Achilles in the end zone. Shit is ridiculous

Remember in college basketball when a coach got a tech for having a heart attack?

a r/cricket moment. (Those who get it will get it)

A college football team lost a game this year when a QB got his helmet mostly knocked off by the defender on the game tying two point conversion play and he grabbed it with his hand and held it there. Got flagged for taking his helmet off, 15 yards on the kickoff. Opposing team had just enough time to position themselves for a last-second 48 yarder, got it blocked, but got a redo on a 15 yard personal foul for hitting the longsnapper.

Game very likely goes to OT without the penalty.

what he really got flagged for was having the name Kyler

[–] fuckinnreddit@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

NGL, that was a stuuuuupid call. Like WTF even was that.

In a year where football teams have been so bad, the reffing is keeping up with the trend.

There needs to be a fucking NFL reboot at this point.

[–] Phightins4044@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

What are u even talking about dude. Where were u last yr?

There are currently 8 teams with 3 or less wins. Last yr there were 6.

[–] stormtrooper2003@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Refs hate picking flags up unless it’s for the Cowboys.

[–] Soren_Camus1905@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Didn’t someone on the chiefs do this a few weeks ago?

I'm tired of just talking about this shit every week. It's literally ruining the sport for me, and there's no sign things will get better. These refs need therapy or something to understand it doesn't hurt their ego to be wrong every now and then.

#NFL officiating has become a joke since bedding with gambling

[–] nonosejoe@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

NFL refs are a bunch of brain dead clowns. League needs to fix this. After last season’s playoffs Im beginning to think why bother watching a game that is decided by bullshit calls and the ego’s of worthless idiots.

[–] oldtreadhead@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Another prime example of the ridiculous officiating that has happened this year. There needs to be a "common sense" protocol enforced to overrule the idiots on the field.

He should have work a Chiefs helmet. It immunizes you against this penalty. The refs even kindly tell you to put it back on without ever throwing a flag.

I’ve seen this happen twice this year (ref telling Chiefs player to put their helmet back on in the field of play rather than throwing a flag). And I’ve only watched 3 of their games.

Can New York intervene real-time? Just say hey dumbass you fucked this up big time

[–] Stand_On_It@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

The weirdest part about all of this is when Troy and Joe asked the referee expert guy about it and he just said something about the sideline. It was totally nonsensical, Troy and Joe just like sat there in silence for what felt like a minute. I’m thinking the dude was taking a shit or something and had absolutely no idea what happened and just started talking. It was really weird.

What do we gotta do to get robot/AI refs? I don't want the robots taking the jobs of people, but are NFL refs actually human anyways?

Chiefs player took off his helmet in front of the ref a couple weeks ago as he was yelling at another player… this was all on the field and no flag.

This then gets a flag. This is why refs stink to high heaven.

[–] serpentear@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Does the NFL not care about tarnishing their product with this shit?

All these ridiculous roughing the passer calls, the ticky tacky calls on PI, the calls on players who are not even involved or near the actual play, the taunting calls.

IT’S FOOTBALL! You can’t remove all the danger, you shouldn’t remove all the fun and ego, and you can only mitigate. I’m so tired of watching 10-15 flags per game.

[–] iceph03nix@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

This is so dumb...

So... sooo dumb.

Kids named "Kyler" are old enough to play in the NFL now... damn I'm getting old.

[–] mmvsnr@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Are you rated to repair the M-3 Tactical Helmet, Rico?

[–] No-Computer-2847@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I'm just hoping we're building up a store of bad officiating in our favour for when we actually need to win games.
