It's clear how this plays out a few fortnight's from now:

Rodgers: Hey everybody I'm ready to play!

Doctors: No you're not cleared for contact. Maybe next week.

The following week the Jets are eliminated from playoff contention

Rodgers: Well I tried guys but they wouldn't let me. Now the team just wants to be safe and not risk anything for 1 have that doesn't mean anything to playoffs. See ya next year guys!
