Nobody wants to say it because its an unsatisfying answer for which there isn't really an obvious solution, but a large part of why the Bills are struggling this year is legitimately just shit-awful luck. I mean, they have the fourth best point differential in the league, better than the 10-1 Eagles. Sometimes the universe just isn't smiling upon you.

Hahahahahaha

He's averaging 267 yds, 2:1 TD:INT ratio, 28 yds rushing, .75 rushing TDs.

CJ Stroud is averaging 296 yds, 4:1 TD:INT ratio, 12 yds rushing, .27 rushing TDs

Sorry but give me Stroud not turning the ball over every single game and costing me wins as MVP over this dude.

Wait. People think Allen is having an MVP-level season? Wut?

I’m sorry if this comes off the wrong way, but if you’re not finding ways to win games, then you’re not playing MVP caliber football. How can you be the most valuable player in the league, if you’re not winning? I get that it’s a statistical thing, but there needs to be more consideration in whether you are doing enough to win.

In other words, Josh Allen should be losing the MVP race because of the performance of those around him.

Weren’t we all just ripping Allen for his turnovers but now it’s the Bills wasting his MVP season?

Oooorrrr maybe winning in the league every year is hard, the Bills have a good roster, and they’re just having a down year?

[–] james_randolph@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Not saying he’s got to be perfect but he’s tied with Howell for most INT this year at 13. The games they’ve lost have been one score games where he’s thrown picks in all of them and his fumbles also have happened in these losses. Turnovers kill teams, that’s just basic knowledge and his turnovers not just this year but over the last few years have been costing them. Seems like he’s been wasting his own MVP year not the team.

Man's on track to throw like 18 interceptions and probably 6-7 fumbles on top of that. Not an MVP season unless he goes apeshit and throws 60 touchdowns

[–] Alert-Ad1602@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

High variance QB, high variance team. Season isn’t over, I hope they make the playoffs.

Has any team ever played as many memorable games as the Bills have in the last three years and seemingly lost every damn one of them? Cursed franchise.

The September Champs.

MVP Level? Nah...hes been top 3 good though.

A turnover a game dont matter when you can put up 3 TDs at will.

LOL. Josh Allen is a glorified Daniel Jones

def not mvp level. people were just talking about his turnovers. clicks clicks clicks

[–] QuaintSofaChallenge@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

But r/nfl wants me to believe Josh Allen should literally be playing in the CFL

[–] erics75218@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

His marketing team is really the best...MVP marketing team for sure.

Bruh Allen or the coach are selfish as hell. They could compliment their game plan with cooks more but nope, let Josh Allen run in all the Tds. Let him air it out and forgive all his turnovers when check downs are available.

They’re high on their own farts and it’ll be funny if they miss the playoffs.

[–] Muinala@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I'm begrudgingly a fan of Allen's playing ability, but he has been part of the reason they are struggling. They aren't struggling in spite of him. They are struggling with him.

[–] polywiz@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

What a dumb headline. Hard to win when you lose your best player at each level of defense including a couple of all-pros.

[–] rfmiller80@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Ask yourself this question. Is this article written if Lamar Jackson is having this same exact season that Allen is having? No. It would it be he lacks processing skills and is being out-thought by the defense.

[–] MoroDaEater@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Right because Josh Allen didn't miss throw the winning touchdown against the Eagles.

[–] ITBizOwner2023@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

This dude is a guaranteed turnover+ a game and yet "the Bills" are wasting his season? LMAO.

[–] temp1211241@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

We’re getting really loose with that term where the QB leading in most stats is barely even in the conversation.

Maybe it’s the other sports fan in me but I think MVPs should be the top player or top two in at least a few positive categories. Not just referring to QBs here.
