Hi homelabbers,

I’m getting started with homelabing (extremely basic) and I need some help with Proxmox networking. I bought a used hp elitedesk 800 g3 and installed proxmox on it, I don’t have a switch or any other specialised networking device except my isp(virgin media) supplied router. All I’m trying to achieve is to setup an internal network for communication between my VMs and internet access only. My home network is on 192.168.0.0/24 and I’m using just one interface for my mini pc. I tried giving my internal vms the 10.0.0.0/24 range but they lost all connectivity

I’m not sure if I’m even asking the right question but any help with this would be much appreciated. Thank you

The newest version of Proxmox supports some SDN (Software Defined Networking) so that might be of use to you here.

I haven't played with it yet, so can't help too much, but might be worth a read of the documentation
