Due to the In Season Tournament, all 8 teams in the Quarter Finals will play teams they already had 4 scheduled games against. Giving them all 5 games against each other for the season. (alien.top)

First time since league expanded to 30 teams. Usually teams play 10 teams 4 times, 4 teams 3 times and the 15 teams in the other conference 2 times.

Somebody said this shit on Twitter and everyone is copying but it is literally not true lmao. For example Kings played with Pelicans 2 times already. Now they play the 3rd time(rescheduling one of the 2 remaining games) and then they have 1 more game left against them. It"s not that hard to understand wtf

Nope. So if you make it to Vegas semi final game, you lose a home game? If you’re a 1 seed are you presumably the home team throughout?

I've googled how the scheduling works and I did not see a site that clearly explained it. The NBA site itself lacked some details. I'm sure I could have spent more time and eventually got it, but most people are only going to invest ~5 minutes in something before giving up. It's not that important and we will hear it inevitably later.

I refuse to lmao. It’s been explained before every IST game, it’s been in ads on tv for weeks. It’s been stated on instagram, twitter, and this sub nearly everyday for, again, weeks. Feel free to search this sub or, god forbid, google it. But unfortunately if you don’t get it by now, I’m afraid you never will.

The NBA specifically designed the schedule with "Open dates" for 2 unscheduled games.

They also should have done this later in the year.

They could have made it so at the start of the year no teams are scheduled for more than 3 games. Then, based on the tournament results that 4th matchup either happens in the tournament or on the "Open Date" later in the season.
