No. Unless you are looking at it from a different device, it should not cause your photos to look different.

Sometimes when I edit the image through Lightroom and post it on Instagram, it's completely discolored. I'm using a JPEG format.
Check what color profile you are exporting to. Make sure it’s srgb, not Adobe RGB or pro photo RGB. This can have a pretty major affect on what your images look like when displayed in srgb.
Make sure your JPG is sRGB color space. If it’s not, it will look washed out/muted on IG.
