If the left were half as radical as the right says they are, we wouldn't be here.

[–] Corkyskog@sh.itjust.works 12 points 2 days ago (1 children)

The enemy is both strong and weak.

It's like a cornerstone of fascism.

[–] miguel@fedia.io 7 points 2 days ago

Heisenberg's Immigrant: simultaneously illiterate and lazy, yet able to take away your highly skilled and difficult job.

[–] buddascrayon@lemmy.world 4 points 2 days ago

You should read about the prosecution of the "radical leftist" anarchists of the early 20th century.

Here's to you Nicola and Bart...

[–] BradleyUffner@lemmy.world 61 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

Yeah, sure... The "left" is shooting and killing imprisoned immigrants. You know, the people we are fighting to free and to integrate in to our society. That makes total sense. WTF?

[–] ripcord@lemmy.world 8 points 3 days ago

The people we are fighting to free and at the very least get due process and basic humane treatment.

We have no idea how many of these people are actually already legal residents or even citizens at this point.

But yeah, that's fucking dumb.

[–] Lasherz12@lemmy.world 71 points 3 days ago

If the media would like to try harder than not at all to correct the record this time, that'd be swell...

[–] rafoix@lemmy.zip 61 points 3 days ago

Their propaganda instincts has trained them to start the blame game within .00001 seconds of a bad event happening.

[–] inclementimmigrant@lemmy.world 46 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

So what we know so far is that two detainees are dead and it's been reported the shooter was white.

Take the info how you will against vice president couch fucker analysis

[–] Blade9732@lemmy.world 41 points 3 days ago

So when is Air Force 2 scheduled to pick up the bodies, drape a flag on them in a coffin and hold a state funeral for them? These men died heroes and we need to pass a joint resolution in Congress immediately.

[–] RFKJrsBrainworm@sh.itjust.works 33 points 3 days ago

Hey couch fucker...they shot ICE detainees... definitely another example of right wing violence being wrongly attributed to the left.

[–] MushuChupacabra@lemmy.world 24 points 3 days ago (2 children)

They sure like straining credibility with their base.

[–] oxysis@lemmy.blahaj.zone 12 points 3 days ago

Their base don’t care, they just care that party said something so they believe it

[–] IndridCold@lemmy.ca 7 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Their base are drooling, low-life, fucking idiots with zero object permanence who scream Biden was a pedo whilst raping their 15 year old cousin.

[–] MushuChupacabra@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago

The vast majority of them will fall in line.

A non-zero percentage of them are toeing the party line for the sake of solidarity/perceived winning, but are unhappy because it's bullshit.

[–] kadaverin0@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 2 days ago

I'd like to remind the pieces of shit carrying water for this clown and his administration what we did to people like him and his buddies about 80 or so years ago.

[–] MedicPigBabySaver@lemmy.world 16 points 3 days ago (1 children)

This is some tricky shit to figure out. A "sniper" taking out detainees is either:

A) retribution for Charlie Kirk

or

B) MAGA nutjob hoping the Left/Libs will catch the blame.

An actual Left/Lib certainly would've included shots at ICE officers. (I wouldn't cry over that.)

[–] Madison420@lemmy.world 6 points 3 days ago

Number two.

They're right wing pro ice which is why they shot detainees rather than the officers.

[–] Triumph@fedia.io 15 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Acting ICE director is calling the shooter a “sniper”, probably to paint the shooter as a “combatant”. Because they want it to be a war.

[–] oyo@lemmy.zip 7 points 3 days ago

How bad of a sniper do you have to be to only hit detainees if your target is agents? Something doesn't add up here. Writing "anti-ICE" on your ammo is a little too on-the-nose and convenient, don't you think?

[–] CaptainBlinky@lemmy.myserv.one 8 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Shooting from the rooftop of a nearby building is pretty much sniping.

[–] Triumph@fedia.io 8 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Strictly speaking, yes, but the word carries a "trained [pseudo-]military actor" connotation that "shooter" doesn't. The choices people make in the words they use are important to pay attention to.

[–] Lasherz12@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago

I wouldn't personally expect our Elmer Fudd ass gestapo director to pick his words from a large dictionary.

[–] oppy1984@lemdro.id 3 points 2 days ago

I find the offensive and hurtful, I demand these no talent losers be taken off the air immediately! Thank you for your attention to this matter.

[–] FenderStratocaster@lemmy.world 12 points 3 days ago (1 children)

If they would just stop letting men play womens' sports, then these poor down-trodden, forgotten, and left-behind white men wouldn't be so upset all the time.

[–] JuBe@lemmy.world -2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Please add a sarcasm or facetious tag.

[–] FenderStratocaster@lemmy.world 12 points 3 days ago (2 children)

If you can't tell it's facetious, the get off the internet.

[–] oxysis@lemmy.blahaj.zone 9 points 3 days ago (1 children)

It’s hard sometimes with how many idiots are on the internet. Also being autistic it’s doubly difficult so a tone indicator is helpful

[–] AmidFuror@fedia.io 2 points 3 days ago

Imagine if Jonathan Swift used tone indicators.

[–] JuBe@lemmy.world 7 points 3 days ago (1 children)

The only reason I made the request is I received a mod report from people who didn’t realize it, and at the time, the votes on your comment were in the negative, so I was concerned it might continue to be misinterpreted. I thought simply adding a “/s” to the end of your comment would be an a win-win for everyone: you wouldn’t continue to be downvoted, and people that didn’t pick up on the facetiousness of your comment, would then be able to appreciate your comment.

I don't care about votes, but I'll be more mindful next time.

[–] MITM0@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

As always, the right pushes the blame of it's crimes onto the leftists

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

All while the shooter shot only detainees and not the agents?

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago

You can just assume that these dumbasses will always blame the "radical left" for everything. Just looked at the ding-a-lings reacting to Taco getting on the stopped escalator: "This is an INSURRECTION! We need to bomb/gas the antifa/BLM/Deep State (TM) that's obviously residing at the UN!!!1111"

[–] aramis87@fedia.io 5 points 3 days ago

a facility that is typically used to process illegal immigrants after they have been arrested and before they are transported to a long-term detention facility.

They said they weren't going to hold them, they were all going to be immediately deported. We said that wasn't realistic and they said we were lying.
