I deleted and undeleted this post, if it is breaking the no politics rule I apologize and please remove

It is unclear to me what does or doesn't count, and whether or not the rule is enforced as there are other political posts. Sorry for any trouble.

Yeah, this is probably better over at c/politicalvideos, our sister community

Do you really think this community is so very active that you need to segregate content like that?

A lot of community users asked us to split out the content about a year ago since the political vids were dominating the feed.

We put it to a vote and let the community decide how they wanted us to handle political videos since Lemmy doesn’t allow us to tag.

So all history videos have to go to the political Community then?

It’s definitely not a perfect science, there is a lot of stuff that sits in a gray area, we can’t watch every video, and we’re just couple of volunteers who are trying to do what the broader community asked for help with.

That said, we’re open to iteration if you have ideas on how to refine.

I don't think being against Nazis is political, especially given that everybody in politics is united against Nazis. You'd have to be actually evil to be on their side.

I think it's a moral thing. We may dislike a political opponent or party based on their policies, but Nazis were completely morally bankrupt, evil people.

For example, we make fun of Nazis in all sorts of media, TV, movies etc, when those same productions would never touch actual politics.

Being against Nazis unites us all, beyond politics 👫❤️
