He probably gets tackled for a red card but still absolutely terrible from the ref

[–] T0BIASNESS@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Oof that’s bad

[–] ZeroMomentum@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

lol what? That’s play on

[–] DaddyMeUp@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

They come up with a new way to be more incompetent every week.

[–] antbaby_machetesquad@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

That's a fucking disgraceful call. He even starts to play advantage, but then is like 'oh no that's a bit much of an advantage'.

[–] shabba343@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Jesus Christ Grealish has a one on one wtf is this ref thinking

[–] Nepgyaaaaaaa@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

There’s some serious bullshit going on with referees right now

[–] ThatAdamsGuy@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

That was a ludicrous decision to stop play

[–] ancara_messi@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

When there's an incompetence competition and my opponent is a Premier League referee

[–] Oerba15@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Sky commentators scared to say anything for like two minutes

[–] Loose_Independent978@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

But but city is paying the refs

[–] jepayotehi@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

This was actually a decent ref performance until this incident

[–] No-Habit988@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

About time they got some bad decisions against them for once

[–] angellob@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

he gave the advantage but pulled back while after the pass to grealish, so he just… assumed grealish didn’t get the ball? why’d he pull it back, he thought spurs won the ball but clearly didn’t see that grealish did, absolutely terrible from the ref

[–] OceanArcade@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Absolutely horrible call

[–] ImWhy@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

There's been some absolutely shit decisions this season, but this may genuinely be the worst one, he fucking signed for advantage and then brought it back after the pass????? AND HE BOOKED HAALAND FOR COMPLAINING HAHAHAHAHAHA

[–] Xeash@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Haaland got up and ref signaled the advantage just to pull back after grealish was 1 on 1. Shocking is an understatement

[–] nu_lucrez_in_IT@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The level of the Premier League referees is atrocious. Haaland’s fuck off was on point.

[–] ChairmanRich@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Denial of clear goal scoring opportunity... Red card for Hooper!

That was quite ridiculous. Ref played advantage, saw that Grealish was running onto the ball and then blowed the whistle.

[–] i_disagreewithu@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Thank God..fuck city

[–] ThatAdamsGuy@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Few friends said that the ref had blown (though half-heartedly) when Haaland went down, played advantage, then remembered he can't do that so had to bring it back.

Only justification I can think of.

[–] JJLost@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

They are genuinely so fucking shit and the commentators just put it down to "they wont be happy", well yeah, they have just been fucking robbed.

Got me out here defending Man City for fuck sake. Put the "banter" aside when decisions this appalling happen, they get away with it in part because rival fans don't make noise and just call you a sore loser until the outrage dies down.

PGMOL just need to step down (be disbanded), they are abysmal at their jobs.

[–] Connect_Me_Now@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

At what point does the Refs take responsibility and make changes for the better?

[–] Zandercy42@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Ref got a watch notification that the payment had been declined

[–] hem98@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

It's ok. Howard Webb will issue an apology letter and everything will.be fine again. In ref we trust.

[–] SlashfIex@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I hate city but this is infuriating

[–] AlonsoCampeon@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

All non-Prem fans have known this guy is a clown since day one. We (Norwich) hate him 😂😂

[–] Hello______Newman@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

PREMIER LEAGUE IS OVER..... AFTER THIS....THERE´S NO TURNING BACK....

bye

[–] Kydd_Amigo@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I’ve said it before, but with the amount of mistakes made, any other profession you lose your job. This lot all just pat each other on the back - don’t be defensive just fix the poor quality. Everyone gets a bad decision once in a while, but it’s every bloody week!

[–] Mackieeeee@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

insane call but where are the yellow cards?

[–] DrCrazyFishMan1@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Jesus fucking christ is that a shocker of a decision

[–] PelleKavaj@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I’m a United supporter but this is fucking insane, makes you think he did it on purpose or has a bet on a draw or something. Absolutely insane decision.

[–] WillyG2197@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Wouldn't be a city draw without missed chances and some fucking nonsense reffing

[–] BlurredMangoose@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Unlucky decision, but it is pretty obvious what happened here. Hooper plays advantage initially, sees that the advantage isn't a strong one because Haaland is heading backwards and is off balance so he blows it just as the ball is being hoofed downfield into a 1 on 4. Unfortunately for him Haaland's ball is remarkable and it springs Grealish. Ultimately it is a split second decision and Hooper is unlucky in that he looks foolish here, but stopping the advantage is probably correct 9 times out of 10 given the City players' positions. He also can't really afford to wait for the result of the ball that Haaland plays because at that point it will have been too late to bring it back. One of those that looks far more dubious than it is. It is a fast paced game and refereeing is hard.

[–] MrAchilles@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

But if we complain about shit like this you'll be punished?

Bore off, fucking dire decision that

[–] HoldMyAppleJuice@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

That is criminal, fucking hell

[–] luisfigo7@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

best league in the world and at 4am they get the drunk guys from the closest bar to referee the game. only explanation I have.

[–] TheGiggs10@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago
[–] justk4y@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I don’t like City in the slightest, but I really believe these refs have some dodgy stuff going on in the background……

[–] funkymonkeyinheaven@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago
[–] Kiwi_CFC@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Oh boy that was horrendous

[–] pewdieboi29@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

It’s not even like he didn’t give an advantage at all. He gave one and then said nahhh, not that much advantage. What a shite referee.

[–] WhyAlwaysMe1991@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Are all EPL refs this fat

[–] modpeti@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

How many games this bald asshole is going to ruin before he will be finally a garbage truck driver or something similar? He was the best Tottenham player against Liverpool as well. The thoughest league in the world, and he will become a main factor at the end of the championship? Disgrace...

[–] cidji_hh@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The worst thing is he let the play go on after Haaland got up and then suddenly decided to call it

[–] NeonsTheory@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

My goodness...

[–] Deluxefish@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

off to the championship he goes

for the entirety of one single match, after which he'll be allowed to fuck over PL teams again

[–] Gillz94@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Standard premier league officiating. The fuck was he doing

[–] Spintoni_Riminoli@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I hate City like any sane person, but I still can't feel good about this
