He’s fine.. he’s just missing his shots.

Thought I read they worked on tweaking his shot and clearly that hasn’t gone well. Regardless, way too early.

Why are you expecting mid-1st Round picks who are 19-20 years old to be NBA-ready?
You draft them for what you expect they will become, not for Year 1 production.

I give everyone in the first round at least 3 years before I declare them a bust. Usually they were picked for a good reason. I mean these are million potentially billion dollar decisions here. These players have the talent. It's usually the work ethic and the environment that fails them. Kid needs time to get the latter two in unison with the talent.

I think he could still be solid. His game(from what I’ve seen) just looks so natural. Terrible start obviously but you never know. We’re like 20 games in lol

I mean 15ppg on horrible shooting isn't a terrible sign. He's not going to continue shooting under 30%. That percentage will increase which will make his ppg go up, which will then help in his playmaking. Give the KID some time

Honestly I felt like people would just think I’m saying this cause he’s white but I really did not see his game translating to the nba game at all. My reason was mostly he doesn’t seem to have the athletic ability to be good in the nba

He does all the little things you want to see but for some reason his shot isnt falling. Is it because the raptors changed his shot as ive seem some reporting. IDK. Im not gonna judge anything this early.
Raptors G League team is also full of injuries at the moment so that contributes to the crappy play.

If it's year 4 , fine.
For example Jalen Suggs was considered a bust a few month ago. Now at least respected by most, and will probably be defense team in the future while shooting okay. You never know what's happening behind the scene.
NBA2k is not the real life... You go to the draft for future. He looks solid in shooting motions. And we will see about his work ethic in a few years, that's what's important.
