Isn’t luck a myth to begin with? This is like saying knocking on wood is a myth. That’s inherent to all superstition.

Luck definitely exists, but actions like knocking on wood or not using white lighters don't influence it.

Having white skin increases your luck. People will just seem to treat you a little bit better, and opportunities will come your way with less effort. That's because people are racist.

Then the fucken universe is downright racist against my pale ass, because my luck when it comes to non social elements is right shit.

Also I am well into the unhealthy paleness level so folks just kinda avoid me which is nice.

Cool article; I posted it here:
How White Lighters Got Such a Bad Rap

Interesting, it was yellow lighters in my neck of the woods, so I always got yellow lighters as people were way less likely to steal them.

Funeral homes can sleep well knowing that the plastic contained in our blood in addition to the contaminated environment we're all exposed to will drastically reduce our lifespan 😊

On a long enough timeline everyone’s survival rate drops to zero.

Honestly, not sure if this is a fake image or not

They need a modern equivalent for vaping.

[–] tempest@lemmy.ca 3 points 2 months ago

The manufactures of those "disposable" vapes would have no problem doing this.

Likely marketing people don't like the image of giving people drugs directly and I'm not sure anyone gives a shit about non nicotine vapes.

I kinda want a lighter from a funeral home for my glovebox now. I don't smoke but it's always good to have an emergency lighter.
