From the Atlanta Daily World:

By Kevin Harris and Richard McDaniel (TriceEdneyWire.com)—Democrats ended 2025 with important victories that steadied a rattled party still reeling from Donald Trump’s return to power. Yet even after those wins, Democratic approval ratings remain stubbornly low. A recent Quinnipiac University poll found only 18 percent of voters approve of the way congressional Democrats are handling […]The post Harris and McDaniel: Democrats can’t win in 2026 on Trump resistance alone appeared first on Atlanta Daily World.

Define resistance?? Vowing to fully undo all his orders destroy any structures he build prosecute all criminal members of his party? Now we're talking.

If I hear the words bipartisan from the next Democratic politican I'm immediately turning off, because he / she is a moron.

Nobody in the DNC leadership or embraced by the DNC leadership would DREAM of doing anything of the sort. Meaningful reform and categorically denouncing fascism are too "divisive" for them.

They're still laser focused on chasing the "considering voting for Trump but doesn't reflexively vilify anyone with a D behind their name" voting bloc, which consists of 7 or so people by now.

Prepare to drastically reduce your screen time, I guess 🤷

Like the system in general, the Democratic Party is beyond repair and needs to be replaced with something better suited to a modern society that's beginning to realize just how thoroughly corrupt the people and systems most people more or less implicitly trusted are.

I mean, maybe they could, if they actually put up a resistance to Trump. But they also can't win on being Olympic medalists in downhill skiing.

They can't win on anti-Trump rhetoric — not exactly the same thing. It will take exactly the kind of action they are loathe to undertake — fighting for the American people. Which is anti-Trump but also targets the extremely wealthy, which is going to ruffle a lot of feathers. The rich pay a lot of money for politicians to placate us without going after their money.

Nah, I think if there are remotely fair elections in '26 and '28 they'll clean house no matter what they do, just like they did in 2006/08 or in 2018/20, because lots of people hate everything Trump is doing.

I also think that unless a bunch of important Dems get removed from office and the party they will completely waste this political power again, refuse to hold any Republicans accountable for their crimes or undo most of the damage they've done, throw tons of money at the police and military and big businesses, scream at everyone we ought to be grateful for the whole bunch of nothing they've given us, and put a Republican back in the white house by '32 with a fully powered police and military and army of oligarchs at their backs.

They were still counting votes when Harris told Americans to reach across the aisle and find unity with trump. This person isn't going to help us.

Was that THIS Harris or Kamala Harris, though?

Speaking of, I wonder if these two are in any way related to her and Ronna Romney 🤔

Different Harris. The one in the title is one of the article authors.
