Ohhhh nooooo, not the big scary tariffs... What ever shall we do.....

[–] kbobabob@lemmy.dbzer0.com 9 points 6 days ago

Probably what other countries are doing. Finding other options. America will be very alone

[–] cyberpunk007@lemmy.ca 26 points 6 days ago

In this context, bring it on. Get fucked. You're a fucking loser and you know it, you insecure little bitch.

[–] kboos1@lemmy.world 19 points 5 days ago

I read, "If they don't comply I'm going to hurt the American people again"

[–] waterbird@lemmy.blahaj.zone 25 points 6 days ago

kudos to the author for the chosen article picture.

[–] SheepHerder@lemmy.world 23 points 6 days ago

So US businesses (and people) are taxed more if other countries won't back down from his imperialistic expansion fetish. Sure.

[–] TigerAce@lemmy.dbzer0.com 17 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

Great, the US can live in isolation like North Korea for all I care.

Let's sanction the US for crimes against humanity, threatening it's allies, invading Venezuela, war crimes and raising world tension. Russia got sanctioned for invading Ukraine, so let's treat the US the same.

Can't wait for Victor Orban to sabotage us from the inside once again.

[–] myrmidex@belgae.social 8 points 6 days ago

The way the other European far-right parties are promoting Orban, I'd reckon they're not confident in a big win.

[–] CosmoNova@lemmy.world 14 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Read this as: „Stupid narcissistic manchild is making lives of Americans who carelessly elected him even harder.“

Works for me, Donnie.

[–] PhoenixDog@lemmy.world 8 points 6 days ago

Yup.

Oh, other countries don't support me! Fine! I'm gonna make everything more expensive here in response! That'll show em!

[–] MuskyMelon@lemmy.world 16 points 6 days ago

Come at us bro

[–] Dagnet@lemmy.world 14 points 6 days ago (1 children)

My country got record exports in 2025 after getting a tariff from him so... Please do it again!

[–] SapphironZA@sh.itjust.works 9 points 6 days ago

Many countries got that, because countries stopped buying US products and went elsewhere for their imports.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 9 points 5 days ago

He thinks holding America hostage is going to work?

"Do what I tell you, or America gets it! I'm serious!"

"Yeah, okay."

[–] sturmblast@lemmy.world 10 points 5 days ago

Weakest man in the world

[–] ohulancutash@feddit.uk 13 points 6 days ago

So he’ll even implement sanctions against the US himself? This gets even more convenient.

[–] Triasha@lemmy.world 6 points 5 days ago

If the world tarrifs a country, it's the countries problem, but if you tarrif the entire world, it's your problem.

[–] dan1101@lemmy.world 6 points 5 days ago

Self sanctioning, dumb move donnie

I hate everything. This timeline fucking sucks.

[–] atropa@piefed.social 6 points 6 days ago

Just lock him up ,Now

[–] McLarny@lemmy.world 6 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Well then that’s the best time to make this idea, to get rid of the anti- circumvention rule, becoming reality.

There was a realy good lecture at the 39c3 about it.

[–] HejMedDig@feddit.dk 4 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Thanks for the link. Been meaning to listen to this since it came out, and now I finally did it.

Typical Cory to do a talk with as little tech as possible

[–] McLarny@lemmy.world 2 points 5 days ago

You’re welcome. Yeah it‘s presented in a way so that also not tech-savvy people can follow. I assume not many people are aware of those trading deals and the possibility that is presented. So it’s best to spread the word. The more know about it, the more likely it’ll be for people to demand it from politics.

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 5 points 6 days ago

So, the entire world?

[–] Ilixtze@lemmy.ml 4 points 5 days ago

The pedophile crime syndicate of america should just sanction everyone, and fester alone and isolated.

[–] hector@lemmy.today 2 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

Prez is a figurehead for the party. He lost his marbles, they hold his hand and lead him, he says some dumb shit, but the same bellicose tactics will continue with his successor, presuming they fix elections successfully and keep control after 2028 and given the democrats I do not see what would stop them.

The party will continue to overplay their hand. They are riding high on looking tough as no one has called them on Venezuela being a military coup, an agreement with Venezuela's generals to give up maduro with info and standing down, and puppeting their political leadership while generals oversee the concessions of assets, and will handle resistance as will crop up if they extract resources.

The army of the us would not attempt that without such an agreement. Helicoptors are vulnerable to multiple weapons systems a mobilized country had all around one of their most protected sites. Beyond fixed artillery which is a sitting duck you have machine guns, truck mounted included, rpg's, other shoulder fired weaponry, manpads, etc. Enough the us could not reliably suppress without an agreement.

So with no one calling out this being a same old military coup, they look real tough, tougher anyway, and are overplaying their hand, as if everyone will cave. Everyone did cave to the nazis with these same tactics however.

But these guys are not as capable, they think canada will be austria after greenland is the sudentland in czeckoslavakia, and idk analogies for the rest. Cuba, Iran, are the more likely recipients of attacks in the near future. Bombings, especially of leadership, fucking their economic situation, fundimg, helping, fomenting dissent. Then trying to use that dissent to bomb and strangle their trade.

Our own econo.ics could take the wind out of our blowhards here first.

[–] sparky@lemmy.federate.cc 1 points 5 days ago

Not sure we care anymore, since the free trade agreement between EU and Mercosur was signed today. We don’t really need to trade with the US anymore. South America provides a huge export market for our products, and they supply better quality agricultural imports than the US can anyway.

[–] llama@lemmy.zip 1 points 5 days ago

He's never going to stop so they might as well give up hopes now of Americans ever buying their stuff again
