Some 1,500 active duty Army paratroopers have been put on alert for a potential deployment to Minnesota, according to two defense officials.

They're ones who are trained and equipped for arctic warfare. This is kind of thing you do when planning to massacre civilians.

Edit: The Washington Post is now saying the same thing:

Pentagon readies 1,500 soldiers to possibly deploy to Minnesota, officials say

Soldiers with the Army’s 11th Airborne Division in Alaska have been placed at the ready following Trump’s Insurrection Act threat, according to defense officials.

Those Epstein files must be hiding some horrific crimes.

[–] SayJess@lemmy.blahaj.zone 92 points 1 week ago (8 children)

It must be so much worse than we think. There must be photos and/or videos of Trump raping children in the files.

[–] RustyShackleford@piefed.social 59 points 1 week ago (2 children)

I believe it’s highly probable that they were infants, considering his reaction.

[–] SayJess@lemmy.blahaj.zone 45 points 1 week ago (1 children)

He’ll massacre a city to keep the evidence hidden at the DOJ. They are sitting on evidence that will end his life.

[–] Mantzy81@aussie.zone 17 points 1 week ago

He literally invaded a country to stop us talking about them for a minute and threatening to do the same again and possibly start a war with Europe to keep us from thinking about them.

There must be some bad shit in there. It is this part of the plan he's been given by Putin to avoid the pee tapes being released.

It's only been a year so far (this term at least)

[–] abbiistabbii@lemmy.blahaj.zone 12 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Gonna call it now, Jimmy Savile levels of child rape and Necrophillia.

[–] RustyShackleford@piefed.social 13 points 1 week ago

Necrophilia wasn’t even a guess, but you’re probably right.

[–] setsubyou@lemmy.world 13 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Wait, you’re saying we didn’t already think that?

[–] SayJess@lemmy.blahaj.zone 13 points 1 week ago

Yeah I suppose you’re right. The evidence against him must be incontrovertible.

[–] corsicanguppy@lemmy.ca 11 points 1 week ago

photos and/or videos of Trump raping children in the files.

From what I've read, you're almost there.

cocaine+ultra-rich,+malignant narcissism = killing and raping for fun, torture. Remember that ring of freaks that were into videos of great apes getting tortured? That's for poor people. When you're the richest people in the world, you get to do it for real without consequence.

The lack of empathy runs extremely deep.

The way I think about it is: it's so bad that Putin can use it to blackmail a comfortable billionaire into upending his whole life and running for president and winning and following through with all that insane shit. Believe me, that fat lazy piece of shit would much rather sit back and keep fucking children and snorting cocaine at Mar-a-Lago. He's doing this because he has to, Elon Musk is doing this because he has to. They fucking know.

Dude, nobody in those files was ever gonna have consequences? You most know that??

The files are the distraction, damnit. Every time people follow that lead, it's another opportunity to "legally" step you of your rights. Another opportunity to loot the treasury.

And, seriously, even in the very unlikely chance any additional files are "released", they will have been tampered with. Dementia Donvict and Co names removed, and anybody who didn't least at a chance to lick his greasy turds out of his ass crack will "coincidentally" be named in said files.

But the simple fact the corporate ~~media~~ propaganda machine acknowledged the existence of the so called Epstein files all but proves it's all fucking bullshit. And they love useful idiots who keep everyone else "on message" by bringing up the exact same shit over and over again. It's the same fucking game they've been running my entire life. And, no, its not any fucking different this time around....

Welp, here comes the military litmus test. Are you mother fuckers going to comply with orders to murder civilians?

[–] Kirp123@lemmy.world 43 points 1 week ago

Like they complied with orders to shoot civilians in boats in the Carribean? Or do those not count?

[–] hector@lemmy.today 21 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

You see, the majority of soldiers deployed will be guarding street corners, they will handpick the ones willing to open fire, bust heads, etc., then make special units of them for the wetwork type stuff. That is their plan, like they did in 2020 with that special unit they made to disappear people in portland, cherry picking assholes from the bureau of prisons.

They will be nurturing paramilitaries too, no I am not referring to Ice which is a security service under control of the government and therefore not paramilitary even if militarized, but groups like the proud boys, 3 percenters, that they will nurture to attack critics and protesters and the like in ways they don't want the security services' goon squads to do directly. The police will go hard against anyone that fights back against them, give them a pass, share intelligence with them, etc.

These deployments they are just testing the waters and setting precedents, with 2028 in mind. With permanently fixing elections in mind.

Seeing as the troops (different units I know but still.) obeyed the very much illegal Venezuela Raid I think it’s obvious what they are going to do if mobilized

[–] Asfalttikyntaja@sopuli.xyz 20 points 1 week ago

They have already murdered civilians in Venezuela. They have been trained to fight and kill, it’s not like they are having moral this time. This is what that orange turd is waiting on all the time. He would rise up martial law and refuse to let any votings happen.

I will send a fully armed battalion to remind you of my love!

[–] Thedogdrinkscoffee@lemmy.ca 30 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Only a peace president would send the military against his own people.

We really are in the tyranny phase.

[–] Xanthobilly@lemmy.world 56 points 1 week ago (12 children)

Could also be for Greenland.

[–] silence7@slrpnk.net 90 points 1 week ago (15 children)

Could be; both are utterly illegal and any soldier who follows an order to attack either deserves to be prosecuted

[–] Thedogdrinkscoffee@lemmy.ca 32 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Prosecuted? Maybe. Summary execution, definitely. They aren't soldiers. Soldiers took an oath to defend the constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic. Anyone attacking civilians and protestors is just a regular old fashioned mass murderer.

President of peace everyone!

[–] hansolo@lemmy.today 32 points 1 week ago (1 children)

They’re ones who are trained and equipped for arctic warfare.

So that one guy slipping on ice really sent a message, but not protests? Figures.

US armed forces are traitors to the people by all accounts at this point.

[–] Chivera@lemmy.world 12 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Shouldn’t those guys be training to invade Greenland???

[–] benderbeerman@lemmy.world 16 points 1 week ago

Shouldn't they be training to invade a certain house of the white persuasion? Something something foreign and domestic...

[–] ExLisper@lemmy.curiana.net 15 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Wouldn't invading Minnesota be the best training?

Those soldiers better remember the US Constitution is the number one priority and not following illegal orders is lawful.

Anyone who thinks these soldiers will do anything other than exactly what they're ordered is thinking more than a little wishfully
