I found your shirt really weird and off putting. But by golly am I gonna support you and others like you to have the freedom to wear and share these things online. It's not my cup of tea you might say, but that shouldn't lead to others preventing you from liking it and or sharing it. So get down with your "weird" self!

Would you mind providing some insight into why you think this shirt goes hard? I'm a queer woman and personally find this kind of shirt off-putting. I'm not saying you shouldn't be able to wear it, but I've seen the hoodie and car wrap versions and they never seemed cool to me either. Would you be able to explain what about it you like?

not op but am queer woman who thinks the shirt goes hard because I'm a weeb, terminally online, and generally like outlandish provocative lowbrow art

I think there's something about publicly displaying pornography, even cropped, that signals to me that there's a lack of concern for other people's comfort and to some extent consent. I think I'd feel similarly if someone was listening to porn through a speaker in public and all you heard was moaning and noises, even with no explicit words. I understand transgressive behaviors, but the general sexualization of women in conjunction with the fact most these depictions skew quite young makes me extra uncomfortable. Maybe I was just sexualized and harassed quite young, and the people I've seen with this material tend to be the exact types to engage in predatory behavior, but it immediately makes me think the person is unsafe and doesn't actually care about me or my body or my safety. You can argue that no one owes anyone anything, but I don't think it's unreasonable to assume people with that kind of material know people may be uncomfortable with it and they just don't care. That's their right, but I just generally don't vibe with people who enjoy doing things they know will make others uncomfortable, potentially for just the enjoyment of knowing they made others uncomfortable. If kissing your same sex partner makes people uncomfortable, obviously those people suck, but people who don't want to see cropped porn just don't want to see cropped porn. That seems relatively normal to me and a pretty easy thing to avoid, so anyone purposely doing that just strikes me as a little antisocial in a way I find off-putting. I understand that not everyone sees it that way, so I was just wondering why others were drawn to this.

those are all completely valid points for the record

Appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. One of my favorite things about being part of the queer community is the diversity of opinions and perspectives yet close knit solidarity and understanding. I hope you have a great day followed by even greater ones.

likewise! you seem like a decent lass :]

personally find this kind of shirt off-putting.

is that not an aspect of a shirt that "goes hard"?

Here are some examples from this community top/all time. I think most people would not find these off putting. There are obviously other posts in top/all time that may or may not be off putting, but I think these in particular may demonstrate that off putting is not a requirement.

Obviously, everyone is entitled to their own interpretation and opinions.

Edited to add hyperlinks.

I had a student who wore that same shirt to school once. He made it through lunch and nobody had said a thing.

I realized my fuck-up after pointing out ahegao at work on school grounds.

I'm scared of that QR code. Where does it go?

[–] unexposedhazard@discuss.tchncs.de 19 points 4 months ago

https://vanta.pet/

Their info/contact page

[–] ChaoticNeutralCzech@feddit.org 2 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Why? QR codes are just another encoding of text. Just use a reader that does not follow links by default.

[–] Zozano@aussie.zone 7 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (1 children)

99% of qr codes are URLs.

The text of the URL doesn't tell me the contents.

Why would I want to click on a random link?

Exactly. Now scan every QR code worn by a cute queer girl in the Fediverse, don't give much thought to the URL and open it. I do that already and it's been fun.

[–] Zozano@aussie.zone 2 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Good idea. I'm sure nobody here could have malicious intent.

You can't believe how strong an urge I felt to scan the QR codes of everyone remotely cute and feminine at 39c3. I will keep doing it even after explaining my weakness.

I've had my identity stolen before (lost my wallet) and it was not that bad. What could be worse?

[–] DougHolland@lemmy.world 9 points 4 months ago

Cool shirt, but great hat.

[–] slothrop@lemmy.ca 9 points 4 months ago

I wish there were more of you in my parts.
You've brightened my day.

Cool shirt, btw.

[–] Naho_Zako@piefed.zip 8 points 4 months ago

Wow, it's multi-lingual, hentai for all.

Also flashbacks to kids who wore this in middle and high school...

I mean, I couldn't care less if grown adults wear it, although I certainly won't be wearing one anytime soon myself.

[–] perishthethought@piefed.social 6 points 4 months ago

Hat goes hard too, nice

[–] Crackhappy@lemmy.world 4 points 4 months ago
