Why are you making it snow when you know Radar hates it?!

[–] reddig33@lemmy.world 13 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

Radar needs pettings, scritches, and extra treats to help him deal with this upsetting news.

Took a similar picture of Ollie today

Your outtie likes the sound of radar.

Ah, you're on the eastern seaboard too.

Yeah, I'm reacting kinda like Radar, honestly.

Not necessarily, my buddy lives in Kentucky and they’re forecast to get hit even worse than we are out in NJ

Really? I saw a forecast of up to 22 inches this weekend at the highest (I think the highest confidence across all models was around 14" from Friday to Sunday). I hope your friend in Kentucky can either hunker down or has a plan to evacuate if it's worse than that.

Yup. Latest forecast shows I'm gonna get 12-18 inches now. Thank god I work from home.

[–] Endymion_Mallorn@kbin.melroy.org 2 points 4 weeks ago (2 children)

Agreed! Thank goodness for WFH in times of inclement weather like this.

No work if we lose electricity! My area’s looking like we’re going to be mostly ice. Hoping that’s more sleet than freezing rain!

[–] crank0271@lemmy.world 1 points 4 weeks ago (2 children)

Alternatively, fuck WFH because otherwise maybe we could have a snow day (depending on your job function and how silly your employer is).

[–] LaunchesKayaks@lemmy.world 3 points 4 weeks ago

I work in IT so I went into this field knowing that WFH was gonna be a thing. No snow days for me. :(

Nah, I'm honestly happy to work. I like my job, and I like money.

Justifiable reaction. That's how I'd react too.

My local news has 12-18” so I’m banking on that 3 day weekend.

[–] LaunchesKayaks@lemmy.world 1 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

I wish I could have a 3 day weekend lol. I work in tech support and wfh full time. My whole company can wfh, so we can't get out of work. 💀

[–] sparkles@piefed.zip 1 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

At least no one is expecting you to drive it in, I guess :p

[–] LaunchesKayaks@lemmy.world 2 points 4 weeks ago

Yes, thank goodness. There are a couple of coworkers of mine that will undoubtedly try to drive in but they're kinda dumb like that. I'm hoping things are dead in regards to work coming in on Monday. It'd be a nice break from the craziness we've had going on and I can finally get caught up on the projects I was assigned before Christmas
