Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). I chose an NYPost article for the simple reason that even a conservative rag identified the culprit as a Trump fan. I am aware that the 'alleged' in the title and in the article is the typical load of partisan horseshit.

This comes right on the heels of Trump claiming that Mrs. Omar 'sprayed herself.'

That's just projection again, he probably peed on his legs this morning.

"Ah, I see you also enjoy that warm, wet feeling on your thighs, Mr. President!"

-- Ted Cruz

You're missing the obvious potentially fake attack on him.

[–] resipsaloquitur@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago

You try being that fat and finding a diaper that doesn’t leak.

[–] Taldan@lemmy.world 8 points 3 days ago

The comments on that article are all wild conspiracies. Those people are so unhinged. We really do live in different worlds

Basically all of them have concluded the guy was actually a paid Democratic agitator, with some racism sprinkled in

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 1 points 3 days ago

Well, sure, his "assassination attack" was a hoax, so he thinks every one else is hoaxing, too.

[–] caboose2006@lemmy.world 1 points 3 days ago

Yeah the common sentiment among magats is that this was staged.

How is it still a "mystery liquid."

If this were any Republican it would have immediately been called super anthrax liquid cancer acid and an investigation would have identified it as not that within hours. Here we are with "mystery liquid" since yesterday...

People suspected fox or pig urine and I just don't understand. Who would plan out an attack, knowing they will go to jail for it, just to spray some pee on someone with a syringe? Like I know we aren't dealing with the sharpest tool in the shed here, but damn...

[–] DaMummy@hilariouschaos.com 4 points 3 days ago

Seeing as Omar is Muslim, my guess is on pig fat. But yeah it is a terrible reason to go to jail, and according to his neighbor, he knew he'd be arrested. He also had a major injury recently, so maybe he figured he'd have better health care in prison, so it's like robbing a bank for $1

[–] Jomega@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago

People who do this sort of thing are rarely rational. You don't usually get to the point where you're attacking a political figure in an extremely public way by thinking things through. Dude was probably off his rocker.

[–] TargaryenTKE@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Probably some random assortment of chemicals and/or piss

Willing to bet it was piss.

[–] Chippys_mittens@lemmy.world 11 points 3 days ago (3 children)

Man what a perfect mug shot, he looks exactly like the guy what would do this.

[–] RizzRustbolt@lemmy.world 1 points 3 days ago

It kind of helps having the picture of him doing it right next to the mugshot.

[–] Asmodeus_Krang@infosec.pub 1 points 3 days ago

I didn't know frog babies could grow into adults.

[–] 7112@lemmy.world 11 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Ron Schneider has let himself go...

[–] areakode@riskeratspizza.com 11 points 3 days ago

"This summer, Rob Schneider stars in... The Domestic Terrorist!"

[–] borari@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 3 days ago

Or Bam Magera finally got off the rock and cleaned up a bit.

[–] DaMummy@hilariouschaos.com 10 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Reading comments on that article makes you lose hope.

[–] AbidanYre@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago

Most comment sections do.

[–] TargaryenTKE@lemmy.world 10 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I love the simple inclusion of "might" in that text. It hints that he thought there was even the smallest possibility of being able to escape an extremely public assault on a politician in a building filled with people, which i just find hilarious

He probably thought there was a good chance everyone there would applaud

[–] Maeve@kbin.earth 9 points 3 days ago

Is the dog okay?!

[–] 5oap10116@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago

Police: GCMS? Analytical chemistry? Those dont sound real. This is a complete mystery. Guess we'll never know.

[–] sun_is_ra@sh.itjust.works 4 points 3 days ago (1 children)

He just need to hold on until his trial end then get a presidential pardon

[–] aramis87@fedia.io 6 points 3 days ago (1 children)

A) he could be pardoned right now, before anything else happens. Except

B) he's been charged with crimes at the state level, so Walz isn't going to pardon him and a pardon from the federal level would have no effect

[–] Taldan@lemmy.world 6 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I don't think this would be the case for it, but I fully expect Trump, before the end of his term, to attempt to pardon state crimes and insist it applies

[–] aramis87@fedia.io 8 points 3 days ago

He's already issued a pardon to a woman in Colorado who was convicted [only at the state level] of crimes in trying to overturn the 2020 election. Her lawyer is trying that exact argument.

[–] apftwb@lemmy.world 1 points 3 days ago

‘I might get arrested’

Might? Might‽ Completely disconnected from reality.

[–] altphoto@lemmy.today 1 points 3 days ago

Isn't that Netflix's bastardized copy of Russell Crowe?
