Shut em all down and excavate them. All at the same time. Poor Drumpf will be so upset he can't play golf at his own courses at the taxpayers expense. All those, ahem... "Beautiful" courses torn up. Be a real shame...

[–] SpaceCowboy@lemmy.ca 21 points 8 hours ago (2 children)

Not surprising, Trump's first wife who "fell down the stairs" is buried at one of his golf courses.

[–] Raiderkev@lemmy.world 4 points 3 hours ago

She also "fell down the stairs" like days before she was supposed to be deposed iirc.

For context:

"The tipster also told the FBI agent that they had personally witnessed Robin Leach – the British entertainment reporter and television host best known for “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous” – “strangle a young girl during a sex party” at one of Trump’s golf courses or resorts. GET THE NEW RAW STORY APP. RawStory

“[They] claim she is buried behind the 19th hole at the Donald Trump Golf Course,” the report reads."

[–] altphoto@lemmy.today 3 points 6 hours ago

I assume there's no link at all to the first term campaign and no one should go thru Robin's estate looking for notes or photos.

[–] EtAl@lemmy.dbzer0.com 26 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

I used to watch Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous when I was a kid. Looking back on it now, that was some grade A class war propaganda.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 4 points 7 hours ago

Hard to watch even a few minutes of that dreck without going full Bolshevik.

[–] W3dd1e@lemmy.zip 13 points 23 hours ago (3 children)

Are there usually 19 holes on golf courses? I thought there were only 18.

[–] mossberg590@lemmy.world 37 points 22 hours ago (1 children)
[–] Machinist@lemmy.world 10 points 20 hours ago (2 children)

I would really like to know the whole story behind this.

Butt seriously, what sort of lost bet led to this?

[–] Dasus@lemmy.world 6 points 15 hours ago

Or maybe this is the streaker winning his bet, hmm?

[–] mossberg590@lemmy.world 7 points 18 hours ago (1 children)
[–] Machinist@lemmy.world 6 points 12 hours ago

So he just did it for the love of the game, how funny. You're awesome and thank you kindly for the link!

[–] demonmariner@sh.itjust.works 25 points 23 hours ago

Officially there are 18 holes on a standard course. The 19th hole is slang, referring to the bar players go to after finishing a game. I'm not a golfer, but I've visited clubs where the club bar was named "the 19th Hole."

[–] pineapplelover@lemmy.dbzer0.com 10 points 21 hours ago

Not for epstein, he likes them under 18

[–] ieatpwns@lemmy.world 155 points 2 days ago (3 children)

Digging up all his courses would hurt his pride more than life for being a treasonous pedophile

[–] Tolookah@discuss.tchncs.de 80 points 2 days ago (3 children)

Dig em up then convert to nature reserves

[–] chiliedogg@lemmy.world 11 points 22 hours ago

Fun fact - the major cause of his felonies was that there is a conservation easement over the Trump-owned land surrounding Mar-a-Lago, which he didn't disclose when borrowing against its value for better rates.

The land is a liability, not an asset because it can't be developed but he's responsible for protecting it.

The development plan for Trump International Golf Links, Scotland (TIGLS) included two 18-hole courses, a 5-star hotel, golf villas, holiday homes, and a golf academy. It was strongly supported by local business leaders,[2] but met opposition from local residents, campaigners and environmental groups anxious to preserve the 4,000-year-old sand dunes that were designated an SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest). In June 2019, Scottish Natural Heritage ruled that the golf course had "partially destroyed" the sand dune system, causing permanent habitat loss, and recommended that the SSSI status be revoked.[3][4] The SSSI special status was removed in December 2020.[5]

Some should have been nature reserves before they ever even became golf courses.

[–] TheMinister@sh.itjust.works 18 points 1 day ago

That’s true of all golf courses. Fuck golf courses.

We need to be able to punish/kill people who protect these scumbags

[–] grimpy@lemmy.myserv.one 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

please save some room for state-, local- & federally-subsidized fully affordable housing

[–] gnuthing@piefed.social 4 points 1 day ago

In the US we have enough empty homes to house every single person who is currently unhoused many times over. We don't need more housing, we need to get rid of the Epstein class so we can use those empty homes

[–] santa@sh.itjust.works 11 points 2 days ago

And his wallet. Send Bill Murray in with some molding clay gophers to find the bodies!!!!

[–] foggy@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago

The punishment for treason is death. Just to be clear.

But yeah I'd prefer every sq ft of his golf courses turned upside down to look for human remains.

[–] Archangel1313@lemmy.ca 104 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Check underneath Ivana's grave. Best place to hide a body, is underneath another one.

[–] apftwb@lemmy.world 5 points 21 hours ago

Her burrial site was basically just off the side of a road/driveway in the woods....

[–] Plum@lemmy.world 30 points 2 days ago

Or stash state secrets in her casket.... Dig up her bones.

[–] A_A@lemmy.world 53 points 2 days ago

[–] AmidFuror@fedia.io 27 points 2 days ago (3 children)

I'm sure it's unpopular, but how many others think that just like with an other high publicity case, there are plenty of nuts who phone in crazy shit to the FBI about Epstein and Trump? Just because they are both bad guys and committed all sorts of crimes including rape of minors doesn't mean the kooks don't call in for them too.

[–] Hacksaw@lemmy.ca 6 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

This is an absolute bullshit take. We have a huge pile of evidence that Trump and Epstein raped tortured and killed kids. We also know that of the evidence that's hidden, it's hidden BECAUSE it includes the details of torture and killings. Your default position for a testimony that Trump was involved in rape, torture, or killing of kids shouldn't it be to suspect the witness is lying and has ulterior motives, and that Trump is innocent. There is no reason to doubt the witness, they're describing witnessing exactly what we already know to be true!

[–] AmidFuror@fedia.io 1 points 5 hours ago

I'd actually be surprised to learn that Trump killed kids. I'm not saying he's not capable. He just seems too oblivious to other people's suffering that he would think it necessary. Look at all the women he raped and molested, and he and seemed to think they enjoyed it.

Edit: Made the subject of the last phrase more clear.

[–] RampantParanoia2365@lemmy.world 3 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

Who's going to name Robin Leech of all people, unless it were real?

[–] AmidFuror@fedia.io 4 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

Someone who for some reason associates Robin Leech with the rich and famous.

[–] RampantParanoia2365@lemmy.world 2 points 5 hours ago

Huh. Well you may be onto something.

[–] adhd_traco@piefed.social 35 points 2 days ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (2 children)

Sure, maybe. But they didn't just phone stuff in - they were interviewed.

So, they interviewed this person, but not the guy who claimed he drove Trump -- as well as a victim -- and overheard pedo rape conversations, and described a murder which was consistent with death records?

And in both cases, they don't investigate?

I don't see the "phony fake calls" excuse holding up at all.

source

[…] local newspaper uncovered death records consistent with details described in the tip.

The allegations made against Trump and Epstein are unverified, and no public record exists that law enforcement investigated or confirmed their authenticity.

[–] grimpy@lemmy.myserv.one 3 points 1 day ago

let the evidence be examined publicly
