Comic Strips
Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
- Politeness.
- AI-generated comics aren't allowed.
- Limit of two posts per person per day.
- Bots aren't allowed.
- Banned users will have their posts removed.
- Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.

I give it 5 years before we start seeing kids assuming classic meme videos like that are AI too.
i've been hearing complaints in the vocal synth community about getting called "slop" for using vocaloid by people who don't know what it is. we live in the worst timeline. any kind of digital processing or tools are just slop now.
we gave all the kids updoot buttons that give a dopamine hit whenever they just post βslopβ in response to anything. What would we expect to happen? What if we treated the idiots who were like βFIRSTβ in every thread back in 2003 like they were geniuses analyzing the dead sea scrolls?
Turns out encouraging those people got them to actively participate and try to be "first" at all kinds of endeavors. It so dramatically changed that timeline that they had to put a block on the timeline to stop people moving to it because it's now considered one of the golden timelines.
And at the same time, stuff that actually is slop is sometimes passing off as genuine.
Keyboard Cat was an International treasure.
The other day I gave a super detailed answer with chapters and markdown formating to some technical questions in some nerd community on lemny, and the first reply I've got was someone calling me an AI π
I find it funny, because if you're like me and spent the 2010s commenting a lot on reddit, you're literally part of the training data. All the LLM giveaways β like overuse of em dashes, for example β are things that you probably do too.
I'm stubborn and don't want to change the way that I type.

Yep yep yep!
When I get comments about my writing being "AI" because they can "just tell by the style" it's actually entertaining to see just how enormously ignorant and over confident so many people can be. They really take themselves and their own opinions so very seriously.
But I'm also thinking to myself, I've been on the internet for decades now, writing A LOT of content on various platforms and channels. Your misguided and obviously under-powered AI detection skills were poorly trained on AI output that was trained to write like me, not the other way around. Get it straight.
You might still be. Iβve seen why people are doing with MoltBot. (Ν‘β’_ Ν‘β’ )
When you put it that way, it is kinda sad.
This is sad funny. Also because there are definitely people out there to which this totally applies.
