Kent has adhered to false claims of fraud in the 2020 presidential election.[45] A month following the January 6 Capitol attack, he stated Donald Trump had "no control" over the mob and attributed the severity of the attack to security planning.[12] Kent attended the Justice for J6 rally and compared the treatment of rioters to that of Iraqi citizens in the Iraq War.[46] He later called for releasing security footage of the attack,[47] and claimed the mob was brought to violence by provocateurs associated with the deep state.[48] After the FBI search of Mar-a-Lago, Kent told Steve Bannon on War Room the raid constituted "war".[49] He called for defunding the Federal Bureau of Investigation in response.[50]
Kent led a rally against a false claim that the Washington State Board of Health was set to forcefully quarantine citizens who did not get the COVID-19 vaccine in January 2022.[51] In March, he appeared at an event organized by the Washington State Three Percenters, a far-right militia.[52] Kent once advocated for a federal ban on abortion, but later narrowed his position towards states' rights.[48] By the following month, he had called for an investigation into Anthony Fauci over the origin of SARS-CoV-2 and for a complete shutdown in immigration to the United States.[44] In September, Kent stated Fauci should be charged with murder and described COVID-19 vaccines as "experimental gene therapy";[50] he is unvaccinated against COVID-19.[3] At a rally with Matt Gaetz in September 2021, Kent advocated for school vouchers and per-child tax deductions for parents.[53] Kent opposed several proposals to replace the Interstate Bridge, including tolling and light rail, in his 2024 campaign.[54]

What is interesting is that it appears that even MAGA pieces of shit have limits. For this guy, destroying our own nation is apparently a-okay, but he's not onboard with destroying another nation. I wish he was more principled than he is, but I suppose I should be content he's not chanting war hawk invasion like trump is.

I'm not saying to forgive and forget the past, but it has to be possible for the rats to jump ship. If we just trap them all in a corner, then we give up any chance of peaceful transition of power. Hold them responsible for what they've done so far; not for what might happen next.

Even if he was not the person others have shown he is and was leaving solely on the grounds of good conscience, leaving is the last thing you do, if you want it to stop. You stay in, do what you can to disrupt internally, or act as a source for others who can.
And you would have been doing this already, long ago.
But he is definitely just saving himself from what he's seeing the future is bringing for anyone involved in this and other plans.
People keep saying this but would you really do that? If we make it out of this mess and do some actual investigations to hold people accountable for it all a few years from now, would you be comfortable defending your choice to work for this administration with a statement like "no seriously guys, I was undercover the whole time?" I sure as shit wouldn't want to. That doesn't even touch on the host of ethical lines one would have to cross just to keep up appearances.
Good points. However, if you're already in you're going to get that anyway. Save some evidence for the book and trial I guess to show you had changed your motive, hope it's enough. And if you still get in prison, know you did something to change the tide, hopefully.
All that is based on someone who had gone in initially convinced this was a good thing to be in. If you started out with the plan to be the mole, knowing you could be burned as you say, that's a true patriot there. And few would do that, I agree.
