Time, assuming I could choose when to stop.

[–] grandel@lemmy.ml 10 points 3 weeks ago

Good point. Not being able to die indefinitely sounds like torture after a while.

food. I'd give it out for free in an effort to destroy the corporate slime that is currently infecting this planet

Monkey paw: you are granted unlimited food but the corporations recieve full compensation, so while world hunger drops, so does the quality of food, and new companies cannot break into the market because they are immediately bought by the conglomerates and quality drops, so nobody wants to eat

Vision, ~20/500 severely nearsighted sucks.

No I ain't about to get surgery for it, my glasses do me just fine, but still it would at least feel like I had infinitely better vision if I had 20/20 vision..

Influence. I want to be able to convince everybody with power around the world to actively support a transition away from a system that's based on hierarchy and coercion to a decentralized and cooperative one.

Unlimited waking hours. Imagine not feeling tired, no need for coffee or naps. I do like my naps but it's because of that afternoon drowsy feeling. Imagine that's gone!

Living space. Imagine being able to instantiate unlimited pocket dimension instances and invite people to live there for free, would be really cool.

Unlimited free home maintenance. Cleaning, laundry, repairs, yard work, etc.

Time is the only thing of value. Everything else is just managing that one resource.

Eternally youthful but mortal life.

I don’t mind dying. Death is what makes life have meaning. Let me live long enough and at some point I would be eager to wrap up my concerns and shuffle off this mortal coil.

But I would prefer to die on my own terms, at a time of my own choosing, and in the meantime exist with all the physical and mental vigour of someone between the ages of 25 and 45.

And the key is not being immortal, as I would not want to always survive grievous injuries. I would want to be mortal on purpose -- if an accident would kill a normal human despite immediate medical attention of the highest modern quality, I would want to die just the same. I would not want to continue existing as bloody paste paining the interior hull of an airliner that smacked into a mountain.

But barring accidents, I would love to loiter and observe the next few centuries in great health and youthful vigour. Doing what, I don’t know. That’s for the future to determine. But it would be interesting.

[–] RBWells@lemmy.world 11 points 3 weeks ago

Health, I would like health until I die (I suppose that's a limit in a way but I wouldn't want it to keep me alive forever. Just unlimited health for a lifetime)

Money would be the most useful I think. It would be so nice to never worry about it.

[–] WorldsDumbestMan@lemmy.today 11 points 3 weeks ago

TIIIIIIIIIME

Anyone with wisdom would want that.

You can do anything with time.

Wind it back, wind it forward, generate infinite energy, change all things, fix all things (backwards time manipulation), learn how to do anything.

And the best part: no other superpower needed, no omnipotence, no omniscience.

Just your mortal hands, and time.

Handkerchiefs tied together. The magic show starts off boring but when the amount of handkerchief on the floor vastly outweighs the person pulling them out of their pocket, that's when the magic starts. Also taking applications for a magician who can do something with a huge pile of handkerchiefs. Or someone who can make clothes out of handkerchiefs.

The Olive Garden personnel reading the thread; "Huh. I guess nobody wants unlimited garlic bread. Nix it, boys."
