Financial threat to the public coffers. Privatize profits, socialize losses. Their literal plan is to be dead by the time it becomes completely unsustainable.
There's a lot of people who don't believe global warming and climate change. But do you know who does? Insurance companies. Just lookup the term uninsurable properties.
