"We heard you. More Marvel reboots!"

I vote quicksilver

I just want good, nuanced stories. Instead now luke is a failure. Anybody could have destroyed the death star, super star destroyer or death star 2 with a simple lightspeed jump. People who have no force sensitivity can go head to head with powerful force users that have precognition in a lightsaber battle too.

I get this is just one franchise but they could have taken the story in so many different directions without erasing so much of what has been written as canon. The priorities these days from these movie making companies seem to be money > agenda > quality art.

How about more star wars slop

Iron Lung was better than backrooms ngl. I found backrooms kind of awkward and slow, just like the game or the wiki.

Backrooms is supposed to awkwardly slow.
That's how one builds the general creepy weird feeling they're going for.

And yet all it built for me was boredom 😞.

When I saw the trailer for Obsession before Hokum (which is a great movie btw), I honestly thought it looked kind of generic. I'm surprised to see so much praise for it. I guess I will have to check it out.

Personally I thought Obsession was just as generic as any of the other 10 horror movies that come out every year. I saw it because of the hype, and I still don't understand the hype. The only explanation that makes sense is they ran a successful social media campaign and everyone loves to jump on the hype train.

I wonder if they made the trailer so bland to not spoil anything, which is ok for me.

Usually for horror movies I just watch a few seconds of the trailer to get the vibe of the movie

I saw it with my wife. Neither of us are big horror fans but we both agreed the movie is well done. The movie isn't flashy, but it has solid writing and good performances.

If you're gonna make movies about internet copypasta fan horror, you've got to get on it pretty quick before some tweenagers stab each other over it and ruin the fun. Learned that lesson with Slenderman.
