It's gross to specifically seek out someone specifically because they're shy and with mental issues. Men who target people who are vulnerable are usually looking for someone easy to manipulate. Same thing as the "looking for someone a little autistic" trend. Or before that, "looking for a girl with anxiety". They want the power and none of the responsibility of dealing with the downsides of the mental issue. Red flag behavior.

ib4 the downvotes: I'm not the only one who noticed this bs and there's a rabbit hole of discourse on this trend online.

I'm not saying I specifically went after someone with parental issues, general anxiety, and other hyper specific mental or developmental issues. I am saying that the type of person that, when combined, these things generally cause is the personality I am attracted to. There are other traits that add to that but physical attraction only gets you so far compared to personality and mannerisms. It's just that I'm attracted to a specific flavor of broken that complements my own

Sure, because no one who's actually mentally healthy would specifically seek out someone with mental health problems. But if you happened to meet and clicked well, then sure.

I have a suspicion there is a metaphor in how you have a dog (possibly female) licking the head of a snake

She doesn't have to be shy though. :3

There's only "shy" or "promises to peg you on the first date", no in-between.

I mean, I wouldn't mind. (,,>﹏<,,)

Mine pulled a knife on me on the first date and that was an equal turn on.

Telling her that was a real brain breaker lol
