Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

He is though. He's the twice elected leader of your country, a liar, a thief, and a child rapist.

I'm so sick of this sentiment. Erasing nuance so you can hate and blame victims. I know you won't stop though. Everyone who voted against trump and tried to talk sense into the other side is still trash to you, and that fucking sucks.

Trump >= 0.37 Americas

However, the delta Trump is about -0.13 Americas over 1.7 months, with some margin of error.

If only he'd blame the one person truly responsible for this colossal embarrassment. Netanyahu.

He made Trump look like a pathetic, easily manipulated fool. The only way Trump could possibly save face at this point, would be to completely cut Israel off from all US support. (wink, wink)

He made Trump look like a pathetic, easily manipulated fool.

Mainly because that’s what he is

[–] inari@piefed.zip 22 points 3 hours ago

Who's more foolish, the fool or the fool who follows him?

[–] angstylittlecatboy@reddthat.com 3 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

Trump could actually salvage his legacy and maybe win Republicans 2028 if he did that tbh

[–] Soulphite@reddthat.com -2 points 56 minutes ago

Nobody wants that, please shut up.

[–] seathru@quokk.au 28 points 4 hours ago (2 children)

Well, shit. What is he going to fuck up to distract from this?

Tell us what really went down on that island.

[–] turtlesareneat@piefed.ca 9 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

Be funny if they got in a pissing match and Netanyahu had Mossad release the full files out of spite

[–] Hotstillnasty@lemmy.world 9 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

they cannot release it as they will loose leverage... you have to hold the cards to have leverage.

[–] teslekova@sh.itjust.works 6 points 1 hour ago

Yeah, but you also have to be willing to use a card sometime, or it becomes useless as your opponent stops caring.

Probably going to change his mind, his weak toddler mind got the us into this

[–] EvergreenGuru@lemmy.world 6 points 3 hours ago (3 children)

His dementia would have to severely deteriorate his mind to the point that he was completely different person for him to backtrack now.

He’s already been told that if the straight remains closed and the bombings continue that he risks a global depression, and Trump loves to talk trade. Surrendering is him trying to salvage what little he has left to lose.

He could change his mind on everything but this. This is where the stakes are too high and he can’t afford to lose anymore ground.

[–] Whostosay@sh.itjust.works 1 points 54 minutes ago

Lol I see you've brought logic to a dementia fight, you'll find out soon enough this isn't a solid plan

[–] teslekova@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 hour ago

Changed his mind every other time a deal was close, why stop now?

If only there were some sort of American resource that could supplement the oil supply and reduce our dependency on foreign nations... Oh well.
