8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.
All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body

I would take an alien invasion over this bullshit. I grew up on The X Files, those people/aliens/black goop were smart, organized, prepared, and had a full understanding of their goals, intentions, and how to handle the aftermaths. Were they bad guys? Absolutely. Were they vastly better and more humane to people as a species than what we have now? Absolutely.
Fuck. At this point, give me Bond villains. Blofeld would be more of a rational person/situation than where we are now. Hell, Lex Luthor would be better.

I mean, I hate to be real here but it's absolutely horrible as a Caucasian in South Africa right now. Like refugee levels bad. Not that they weren't dicks when they were in charge with racism/segregation, but the levels of rape, car jacking, robbery, murder, ect has risen 10x since the political change.
Things are for sure inconveniently nuanced, as much as people don't like to hear it.
Even if the jagoff cheats in office are creating unfair conditions, I think it'd be a mistake to villify everyone who's taking their shot if they want to join us here.
