And despite knowing how much you would suffer if you were fired you are powerless to stop yourself from repeating the same thing the next day. You consider how you likely only have ~20 years left before you die or the world ends and they will all be like this, everyday.......

The lack of awesomeness comes from feeling the pressure of everything that's not the stuff you want to enjoy, even while trying to enjoy the things you like rather than need.
