A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. The most popular seem to be lighthearted clever little truths, hidden in daily life.
Here are some examples to inspire your own showerthoughts:
- Both “200” and “160” are 2 minutes in microwave math
- When you’re a kid, you don’t realize you’re also watching your mom and dad grow up.
- More dreams have been destroyed by alarm clocks than anything else
Rules
- All posts must be showerthoughts
- The entire showerthought must be in the title
- No politics
- If your topic is in a grey area, please phrase it to emphasize the fascinating aspects, not the dramatic aspects. You can do this by avoiding overly politicized terms such as "capitalism" and "communism". If you must make comparisons, you can say something is different without saying something is better/worse.
- A good place for politics is c/politicaldiscussion
- Posts must be original/unique
- Adhere to Lemmy's Code of Conduct and the TOS
If you made it this far, showerthoughts is accepting new mods. This community is generally tame so its not a lot of work, but having a few more mods would help reports get addressed a little sooner.
Whats it like to be a mod? Reports just show up as messages in your Lemmy inbox, and if a different mod has already addressed the report, the message goes away and you never worry about it.

It doesn't work in the real world, but does PokePunch evolve into Harambe?
Well now it does.
Moo Deng is the only one that might qualify for being a starter as he's a water type. The other two are normal and ground types. They need to be fire and grass type.
Jimothy is definitely a trash type.
Presumably Moo Deng would be the water type... would Punch be the fire type and Jimothy the grass type? Or, is it the other way around?

That works, though they did have a fire monkey before. I think there are some alternate triangles they could do, like I've heard people mention Fighting/Dark/Psychic, but I still don't know who's who in that one except Moo Deng again, who's probably dark because of her ferocious chomping.
Moo Deng is fighting, because the chomp. Jimothy is dark, it fits the nocturnal, crafty bandit, and cryptid like posture. Punch is a snow monkey so he starts as ice.
As a flip, they could then take the water, fire, grass, as the evolve. Moo gets water because hippos are aquatic, we base the final evo off the Columbian cocaine hippos maybe give him a luchadore outfit or style him after a drug enforcer.
Jimothy gets fire because of the feral/dumbster fire/arson memes that frequently have raccoons and opossums. The final evolution he's more upright with abody shape like these guys but he's got a zippo and Molotov.
Punch gets grass because orangutan means something like "man of the forest" in it's original language. He now wears the worn out orangutan plush as a coat/pelt with moss and frost like a boreal ghilie suit.
We only have 4 water/fighting, two are modal one is mythic, and the last is gen 1. There are only two dark/fire and one is legendary. Finally there is only 1 grass/ice. So all 3 have open niches.
