  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Mayor Zohran Mamdani charged Benjamin Nentayahu with genocide, said he is unwelcome in New York City, and called for his arrest. Two years ago, that would have been unimaginable. Going forward, it should be a litmus test.

No he doesn't, he belongs 6 feet under.

Cool. Now let's also say what we're all thinking: Trump should be in there with him. Preferably in the same cell so that it's awkward af.

Preferably in the same cell

C'mon, this is elementary stuff. You don't want to give them the opportunity to coordinate their lies.

Nah, there's a balance to Mamdani, too extreme and Trump will send Meal Team 6in after him and make some public example of him.

Mamdani is biding his time and building a base at the hopes of a newer, better, less-bought Democrat party by the next election. He can't do that from a blacksite in chains.

if we ever have another fair election,... if anyone considers what we had as fair.

After seeing the Russian Tails in the numbers for 2016, 2020, and 2024 favoring Trump. It's for sure feels like we haven't seen a fair election in over a decade and I currently question our elections and think they are illegitimate. And that's not even going into the known cheating that happened in Ohio that helped Bush get into office(or the Florida shenanigans from the same election for that matter).

So yeah, I think Trump cheated with Russia's(and/or Israel's) and Elon's help and is an illegitimate President. Though to be fair he was illegitimate after trying to spawn an insurrection, and should have been hanged for High Treason already.

We havent had a fair election in my entire life. Bush straight up stole the election from Gore, and even if theres none of that extreme blatant stealing, everything is rigged so hard in favor of republicans, from voting booth locations, to gerrymandering, to right wing thugs being intimidating, etc etc.

Valid as fuck set of points. You're not wrong.

How much do you want to bet a Mossad agent has had him in his sights before?

[–] cmbabul@slrpnk.net 11 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

I’m shocked everyday that there ain’t an assassination attempt on him. My politics are more extreme than his but his platform is violently opposed to the status quo and its overlords

[–] Goodeye8@piefed.social 10 points 18 hours ago

Because that would be instant martyrdom and would further the movement. I guarantee Isreal, republicans and democrats are all looking at him like a hawk waiting for him to slip up. They can't just kill him, he needs to be tarred and feathered and his beliefs discredited.

We're just lucky he's such a baller you can't catch him slipping.

Two years ago, I would have said he is Pali-pilled beyond reach.

Now I think he is simply stating a fact.

Sadly this isn’t some new development after Oct 7, the Nakba was in 1948 and the details we now know of Israeli atrocities from that event are truly horrifying. The Israelis have been brutally terrorizing their neighbors for over 75 years, Bibi is just a natural extension of that campaign of terror. Israel is the most egregious terrorist organization in the world, bar none.

Oh I can think of a much better place for Netanyahu to be...

A war criminal who committed horrific crimes against humanity including genocide belongs behind bars? Really? Wow! Thank you captain obvious. We all know that. But we also know it's not going to happen. Your entire country is run by criminals who are desperately trying to cover up raping children on a regular basis, by doing more illegal acts, also to enrich themselves, at the cost of others. There's a whole list of leaders and their regimes that actually belong behind bars after a fair trial, including Netanyahu, Trump and Putin, to name the biggest ones.

Start to recognize the ICC, arrest war criminals and put them on trial.

Saying war criminals actually should belong behind bars doesn't put them there. Giving them weapons and funding neither.
