Rules:
1. Be civil

2. All posts should contain a source (url) that is as reliable and unbiased as possible and must only contain one link.
Obvious biased sources will be removed at the mods’ discretion. Supporting links can be added in comments or posted separately but not to the post body. Sources may be checked for reliability using Wikipedia, MBFC, AdFontes, GroundNews, etc.
3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.
Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.
4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.
Posts which titles don’t match the source may be removed. If the site changed their headline, we may ask you to update the post title. Clickbait titles use hyperbolic language and do not accurately describe the article content. When necessary, post titles may be edited, clearly marked with [brackets], but may never be used to editorialize or comment on the content.
5. Only recent news is allowed.
Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.
6. All posts must be news articles.
No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.
7. No duplicate posts.
If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.
8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.
All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

Seriously, that's how I imagined Trump is-- like a child he is being amazed with bombs, explosives and lights.
If running out of munition is what ends this bullshit, that'd be hilarious (in a dark way.)
The US has isolated itself from so much of the world, destroying its own global supply chains, alienating former allies. If they need resources from another country to continue this campaign, they'll be shit out of luck.
Meanwhile, now the rest of the world knows the US is weakened. Fantastic job.
This is what happens when people with more money than sense get into power. Trump managed to bankrupt casinos - he clearly doesn't pay attention to his resources before using them. Rich people act like everything can be solved by throwing money at problems, but there's a hard, physical limit to everything - in this case, it takes time and resources to make more munitions. All the money in the world won't make that happen faster.
I mean we almost definitely need the resources in Mexico.
Stockpiles are low. But the TACO on all "massive/civilization threats" is about extracting concessions/subservience from colonies, though its possible that the GCC colonies get angry at US. In this case, China threats through Pakistan may have made a greater impact. China has been more publicly involved in Iran, and giving GCC advise on survival.
Whether out of munitions, or simply losing, the US is going to leave instead of finding munitions/allies next month. Likely a long hiatus from middle east wars for US.
Everyone is saying this war is stupid, pointless, useless... but have you ever considered how important it is for Pedohitler to distract people from the fact that

This is why I think China stopped buying millions of barrels of oil. They knew if the price of oil shot to 300$/barrel he would have stopped nearly immediately. The fact oil stayed relatively low meant they could keep bombing and use up all their munitions. Now China has the perfect opportunity to take Taiwan. If they buy up a bunch more oil all the sudden that means they'll be attacking Taiwan soon.
So they used up all our ammunition on nonsense. What happens when someone else decides to take advantage of that now

We Balkanize, the good bits get snatched up by other nation states, and the shit bits get snatched up by private militias. Or, with no conventional munitions left to defend ourselves we start a nuclear war. Or, slim chance here, people vote against this despite Democrats sabotaging the process and then hold them accountable for consistently fucking this up for the last forever, and we reach a kind of degraded equilibrium, american empire declines, chinese empire rises, and MLs tie themselves in knots trying to justify China doing the kinds of things necessary for maintaining a global empire

This is the equivalent of Ireland running out of booze.
Ok anyone making any kinds of governing decisions or military decisions should be required to play SimCity and any RTS of their choice until they are at least competent at it. Take StarCraft or AoE for example, you never attack an enemy without having your mining, barracks, and supply lines put together first.
Soviet Republic: Workers & Resources would be a good fit for your list.
Only trump could manage to wipe out both our oil and weapons stockpiles in the same move...
I'm pretty sure it was Bush who actually wiped them out. Think of how much stockpile got dropped in Iraq and Afghanistan. I'm sure at that time the US had near limitless munitions stored from decades of overproduction. There was never a day where the quantity of available munitions was questioned.
I think you're drastically underestimating how fast we can build munitions if you think something 20 years ago is causing problems today
Think of all the cold war, Vietnam and probably older dumb bombs that were dropped. The US had a stockpile like Russia did. Sure they've built more, but I think you're drastically underestimating how large a surplus the US probably once had.
