Why, Violet? Ignore the fuckin' haters and settle down with a single account.
If it's just a matter of "I want a different username," you can change your display name at any time.
Plus, if it's the same one username then the "haters" can just block that one user and there will be fewer of them complaining.
I personally have blocked the accounts that pop up but only because I keep this account SFW, but a lot of tagged NSFW content isn't actually "nsfw" for my workplace, just the sexualized stuff, so I dont want to just sift all of it out automatically in the settings. I dont see why it bothers people to the point where they have to make a big deal out of it, sometimes I think people on the internet have too much energy if they can afford to be directing it to negative stuff like that.

Ah. Yeah I have all NSFW content turned off. I guess that did it. Still don't know wtf happened but maybe I'm better off. Or? Was it exciting? Anyone know?
I don't have it disabled outright, but I also don't seek it out. Who tf is violet?
There is (was?) this user called Violet (I think by the time I caught up, their username was violet_08 - they might have changed it to did_you_find_violets, or it might be an entirely different user; I don't follow them too closely) who has been posting mostly thirsty/lewd/NSFW memes. AFAIK there have been several generations of accounts, deleted, new one created, and so on.
I don't get the hate, though. As long as the NSFW stuff is tagged I don't mind it, and having one permanent username also helps against complaints since people can just block them once, instead of having to block every new account.
Is that why lemmy was so horny when i first joined last week? So much lore to catch up on

Please don't make me sift through pages and pages of gifs to read anything worth while, that shot can stay on reddit.
The memes have such a distinct feel to them they are not bound by username.
