Can it also make love to your wife, leaving you with more time for whatever else it is you need to do?

There's a soviet cartoon I've seen as a kid, where a boy ends up in a fairytale land (not isekai'd) and eventually gets 2 magical servants ready to fulfill his every wish. The utopia quickly shatters when he finds out the servants misinterpret his every order and try to do everything in his place, including eating sweets.

I think about that scene a lot lately.

UPD: There's sadly no English Wiki article about the cartoon, but there is one in Ukrainian.

Efficiency!

Best reply I’ve seen to this was “or just talk to your kids”

God forbid you talk to your children.

I read this before, but the other time i didn't realise it was a post by Sam Altman. So much worse.

I’d pay off AI’s circular debts for a chance to round house all of the CEOs in the fuckin head.

If your money-haemorrhaging business model depends on the gullibility of absolute fucking morons, maybe do something else?

This is like when ad companies started talking about "personalised ads" as though that was a thing we wanted and which they begrudgingly gave to us.

If AI companies took all the RAM and GPUs they've hoarded and instead just sold them at 50% of their usual value directly to gamers and hardware builders, they'd make way more money than whatever the fuck they're doing now, and wouldn't be baking the planet in the process.

Sometimes I struggle with determining whether he really believes anything he says. Like, I can’t believe he could be as stupid as he seems but he sells it really well.

That's the thing. These snake-oil charmers are really stupid but have the charisma to get by and get away with their schemes. Case and point, every single fascist ever.

These techbro shitheads don't even have charisma, though.

Solution still searching for a problem. Pathetic, tbh

Sometimes I wonder why the usual groups don't seem to have a problem with Sam Altman being gay, and then stuff like this reminds me that there's so many other things to pick on him for.

Reminds me of that linkedin lunatic post where the dad had his work mates give his kid a video call for her birthday. Perhaps still slightly better than AI, but personally I think kids benefit from their parents actually caring about them.
