I got tired of waiting for that and was going to buy the Qidi X-Smart-3, but I waited just a couple of months too long and had to settle for a an A1 Mini combo instead, and no it's not connected to the cloud.
I do have to admit, I do like the AMS lite because it allows me to use every last gram of filament off of a spool and then auto switch to a new spool. But I did have issues with their software/firmware in the beginning. It damaged both of the plates I had within the first month. I had to wait for the next firmware update for the fix.

Please keep that in mind and take necessary precautions if needed.
I'm in the US and on 120V power. Which only provides a quarter of the power vs the 240V mains used in Europe, to the heat bed making it far less likely to happen. Plus, I use a surge protector for it. Nor do I run overnight prints because I don't trust ANY 3D printer. And that includes my Prusa. I'm no Bambu fanboi, but one reported case of a mini catching fire is statistically irrelevant.
That said, there is an inherently greater risk of fire with certain types of hobbies. And 3D printing is one of them.
I'm not a fanboi of any brand too, but just a FYI, it has been multiple reports, instead of an isolated case.

How many is multiple? I want to know because this is important information to me. But I also want to be unbiased in my evaluation of risk.Your link is the first I have heard of the mini having issues. And they only list 1 mini, all the rest are A1 machines. I cannot find in my searching for any other mini that has melted or caught fire. It certainly does not show up in any other 3D printing forum I have been in except here this one time for one machine.

The bit at the end about Prusa Connect Local looks promising. I like self hosting, and it always left a bad taste in my mouth when a lot of features were locked behind their cloud system.
I was initially excited to hear the XL was finally getting some attention, but the price of this upgrade has me quite disappointed. It would cost me at minimum $500 to upgrade my 5 tool head XL, and that's not including the new high flow nozzles.
I was an early XL adopter and pre-ordered based on my great experience with their MK3S printers. I love my XL when it works as intended, but it's been a long and rocky road to get it to a point of being pretty reliable. I've sunk countless hours of my time and loads of filament tinkering with and without Prusa support to troubleshoot issue after issue and even then still having to wait months or years for software updates to solve problems that it never should have shipped with.
So now to find out that there's finally a real solution to make it the printer that was promised years ago, but it costs as much as many printers is yet another letdown in my XL journey.

Isn't the INDX upgrade super delayed because Bondtech couldn't figure out the nozzle heat treating?
I saw several videos about Prusa INDX recently and decided it would be my first printer. I hope the Prusa version does not get delayed for too long. It has already taken me years to decide where I wanted to start.
As mentioned in another comment, I don't think it's delayed, unless you want an assembled one. They've sold the first batch of upgrade kits, shipping September, with more upgrade kits coming soon and full Core One+ with INDX coming later (as kits and assembled).
If you're itching and want to learn more before getting into toolchangers, the Core One (and One+) announced today are a great place to start, and can be upgraded in the future as newer models release.
A reliable printer with three good tools would be the solution. The closest to that is still Snapmaker. I have no idea what Bambu was thinking with 1 1/2 heads, but until this industry figures out their shit, I'm not buying a multi tool head printer. I'm waiting on Creality because they promise to take TPU seriously, but they always underdeliver. Looks like number of toolheads is the new multi razor.

Depends on what you want out of your printer. 5 is the minimum for me for multicolor prints. I usually max out my MMU when I'm doing that, and the new color mixing can take advantage of even more.
3 is probably all you need for structural stuff. One PLA, one PETG, one TPU and you can make tons of very unique, useful items. But 5 colors + support + TPU? That's an amazing amount of flexibility and design options.

There are open designs. I know this one used to be popular.
Not delayed AFAIK - just not with "hardened" steel nozzles. They currently have nozzles that are steel and hardened, but not hardened to the level of printing carbon fiber, glass fiber, glow in the dark and other filled materials. ~20HRC vs ~50HRC, where standard brass are ~5HRC.
Personally I'm not doing multicolour and multimaterial with filled materials so not a big deal to me, but it'd be nice to have the option I suppose.
I received my INDX dev kit a few days ago, and I'm currently working through the installation on a Voron 2.4. It's been a lot of fun so far, hopefully using it goes as well. Can't speak for the Prusa side of course but knowing them they have better documentation and support.
Apparently there are also QC issues with the heating coil.
