For the record, upward mobility is exactly what I was promised when I took out tens of thousands of dollars in student loans to get a bachelors degree. I’m not exaggerating, they had a fucking PowerPoint…

Also I sure appreciate doing the exact same thing the previous three generations did, getting a different result, and then being called a delusional loser for it, especially by somebody who was almost certainly handed their chance in life on a platter.

Literally cutting off his nose to spite his face.

"The intelligent, educated people that we rely on to create the products and services we make all our money on, are asking for compensation and must be eliminated from society!"

I’m fairly certain once these people manage to solve the need for labor, they’ll start exterminating the rest of us.

they are already looking for ways to protect themselves without relying on human being, because they know how much people hate them and that their money won't be enough to pay for loyalty forever

[–] 4am@lemmy.zip 13 points 4 days ago

They’ve literally been going around giving seminars saying this exact thing for several years now. The media mostly doesn’t care, 1 because they’re owned by these guys and 2 because it sounds so batshit it never gets any traction when they do mention it

We all saw how industrialised the killing was in WW2. That was 80 years ago, with equipment we would consider fairly primitive today. They're constantly threatening WW3.

Extermination is exactly the right word. It undersells the wholesale slaughter we will be sent to if anything.

This guy is a Peter Thiel blood boy who is only where he's at because of Thiel. Literally given a ladder to riches.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 6 points 4 days ago

after thiels boyfriend, blood boy was defenestrated by him, he need new young blood to stay young longer. i think calvicular could be another one too.

[–] jtrek@startrek.website 29 points 4 days ago (1 children)

https://www.floridaresidentsdirectory.com/person/130796167/solana-michael

Could this be him? His Wikipedia mentions he lives in Miami, and this is the only Michael Solana in Miami

Certainly seems like at least slightly wealthy living.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 6 points 4 days ago (1 children)

it did say he was a multimillionaire VC, likely a nepo baby with rich parents, or funded by a rich sugar daddy.

He is a Peter Thiel protégé

If anyone was curious, I asked my computer and it told me it's completely moral and ethical to skin this man alive then quickly toss him into the salty ocean water for a nice swim.

Seems like that's taking it a bit far to me, but we're supposed to outsource our thinking to computers now so I guess I have to believe it.

[–] Neocorporation@lemmy.world 4 points 4 days ago (1 children)

My Chinese LLM DeepSeek said we should bring back gibbeting..

[–] Abyssian@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago

Oh, I didn't ask an AI, I asked the computer itself and that's what the voice in the fan told me.

[–] Corvidae@lemmy.world 23 points 5 days ago (2 children)

His point is kinda dumb, although not unexpected from an oligarch wannabe. The problem is the middle class is being hollowed out. A majority of college grads are middle class. When the economic system doesn't work for the educated, of course they're going to look at alternatives.

[–] Tyrq@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 4 days ago

They might even be smart enough to pull it off despite the leverage of the greed demons throwing money at made up problems to keep the rest in their pockets.

Perhaps why they want more uneducated people

[–] Malyca@lemmy.zip 2 points 4 days ago

That's the idea

[–] _chris@lemmy.world 19 points 5 days ago

“Who knows, who cares” but fuck the libs is basically the modern Nazi platform.

[–] Axolotl_cpp@feddit.it 5 points 4 days ago

[–] eager_eagle@lemmy.world 10 points 5 days ago

never heard of this person, but an editor in chief writing like that must be a recession signal

[–] FoxtrotDeltaTango@sh.itjust.works 5 points 4 days ago (2 children)

Can’t wait for the day that he dies and for us to pop a bottle of champagne on that very same day

[–] SippyCup@lemmy.world 2 points 4 days ago

Be the change you want to see in the world

[–] Lushed_Lungfish@lemmy.ca 2 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Mate, if I had to pop a bottle of champagne for each of these fuckers I'd be dead broke.

[–] SippyCup@lemmy.world 3 points 4 days ago

Get the mini korbel bottles in bulk at Costco.

While you're there, they sell cheap high proof liquor by the crate. They also sell socks by the crate.

[–] Diddlydee@feddit.uk 8 points 5 days ago

Oh look - someone who talks about communism without knowing what it is. How unsurprising.

[–] HuntressHimbo@lemmy.zip 7 points 5 days ago

~~Mildly~~

Implies these are all the children of rich people with his line about the parents house in the Hamptons, but realistically the majority of these people grew up in normal ass homes and went to college to afford to live.

[–] Malyca@lemmy.zip 6 points 4 days ago (1 children)

How are people not more angry?!

[–] mangobanana@discuss.online 6 points 4 days ago

We are but we are also too broke too tired and too beaten down to do anything about it

[–] DeathsEmbrace@lemmy.world 5 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)
