Not much more in the tank, really struggling to cope with life, maybe this League of Legends that everyone is talking about will cheer me up.

[–] swab148@lemmy.dbzer0.com 24 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Enh, at least there's no League

[–] mamg22@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 day ago

That's where the bad day is coming from, it's just offscreen

[–] Amir@lemmy.ml 1 points 22 hours ago

League, Dota, Deadlock, Overwatch, and Rivals are missing

[–] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 12 points 1 day ago (1 children)

No Dota 2? Great way to unwind when you're bleary-eyed after a long, stressful day.

[–] Holytimes@sh.itjust.works 6 points 1 day ago

If you play techies every game is relaxing. For you. And only you.

[–] krusieagenda@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 day ago

How is ranked Tetris not there??

[–] MrNesser@lemmy.world 29 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Brawlhalla and rocket league, are where cod players go to get a break from toxicity

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 14 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Rocket League only escapes the toxicity if you can manage to not be stuck in the Platinum level.

[–] Rekorse@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 day ago

Its still somewhat toxic at champ and up, even in casual. Usually by that rank everyone knows how to mute someone though, so its extremely easy to shut idiots up without having to turn chat off entirely.

[–] deft@lemmy.wtf 4 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Add chivalry 2 in there.

Got the game free recently shits infuriating and the community is the most insecure ragey shits I've seen in a long while

[–] GatoMoto@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 day ago

I bought that game years ago hoping it would be a less toxic alternative to Mordhau.

It wasn't.

[–] MasterNerd@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I have a pretty good time in that game just turning my brain off and fighting people. Don't look at the chat cause that shit's toxic at. If you focus on just having fun and don't pay attention to your kills or stress about the objective, the game's a blast. I have been playing on and off since launch though, so I imagine it may be different for someone just starting out

[–] deft@lemmy.wtf 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I've just been focusing objectives because I get my ass kicked in fights. The only success I have is sometimes lobbing arrows into crowds and doing the overhead attack with the spear.

Some people have clearly been playing for so long though they like end the game 20/4 and I genuinely don't understand how they manage that

[–] MasterNerd@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 day ago

Honestly, positioning and awareness is more important than anything else. While it's "possible" to fight multiple people at once, in reality, even the sweats will die quickly if dogpiled on. If you are smart with the fights you engage in (aka don't just run in blindly), you can often find people to pick off even if you don't have a lot of skill. While I'm decent at the game at this point, I still think most of my kills come from bonking someone who's not expecting me to be where I am. Conversely, if I get surrounded by multiple noobs, unless I'm lucky I'm probably not getting out of that alive.

Where is Tarkov?

[–] craftrabbit@lemmy.zip 5 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Nah, bad take, Geometry Dash is not relaxing at all, because of all the toxic people in in-game voice chat

[–] Honytawk@discuss.tchncs.de 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

None of them are relaxing.

[–] craftrabbit@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 day ago

Nah, gd is chill

[–] funkless_eck@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)
[–] craftrabbit@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 day ago

Just like Tetris, the community is way too toxic

[–] DanVctr@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 day ago

Forgot Marvel Rivals 🤭

[–] Truscape@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 1 day ago

Tbf with rust the PVE/RP servers are pretty decent for a stress-free experience.

[–] SinningStromgald@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago

People still play Clash Royale?

[–] Kayday@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I'm in the minority of (ex) dead by daylight players who just had fun and enjoyed the vibes. Might get back into it for a short while when Art the Clown is added this fall.

[–] yermaw@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Reckon there'd be a market for a newbies day for things? Like a forum or something where everyone piles in to a different game at the same time. There are so many games I want to try but do not have the time to get good enough to enjoy. Dead by daylight being a prime example.

[–] Kayday@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Something like that would be cool, yeah!
DBD is also one of those games where you're probably not going to be even remotely "good" until like 100 hours. Try-hards would give a higher number.

[–] Neocorporation@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

DBD has an MMR system. When you start out, you'll be matched with new players for a long time. New accounts get told who the killer is before spawning in as well.

There isn't any hard toxicity with DBD, as for the most part you can't track what others are doing, can't communicate or VoIP.

I think the stress comes from a lot of survivors setting the objective of the game to escaping, but the devs have said they don't intend for survivors to be able to get out in almost all games. It's a killer heavy game and it's supposed to be near impossible to leave.

A twitch streamer almost had a 2k killer win streak before an MLG group sniped, used meta perks, and try hard for example. So adjust your mindset and enjoy, or just play killer.

Klondike Solitaire it is then...

[–] REDACTED@infosec.pub 3 points 1 day ago

Missing Valorant

[–] daannii@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

Add outlast trials.

Or at least it's pretty stressful until you memorize the maps and enemy triggers.

[–] snoons@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 day ago

Need to get the high proof alcohol and some spicy dorritos and ur set.

[–] MrEff@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Needs some dark souls and Dota in there. Gotta keep the stress levels low and wind down.
