Hey, we're only 1/4 through the 21st century so far. It's too early to call it. The Grapes of Wrath reboot doesn't come out until 2040!
I've haven't seen the vast majority of these so I can't speak for their quality.
Some I've started but haven't finished and the quality varies drastically.
I've only seen four of these to completion (Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Mare of Easttown and Baby Reindeer) only two of which (Breaking Bad and Mad Men) I would recommend.
But the biggest questions on my mind: why would you compile such a list when there's still 8 decades left in this century? Will television as a medium still exit in 2101?
I'm curious how they made the list... It couldn't have been just some intern / writer putting down their top 100? There had to be some sort of stats involved no? Like number of people watching? Number of weekly watchers? Impact on online discussions? I don't see what state it could have been which would have ignored so many other shows.

I've watched almost none of these. But I've seen a lot of them advertised - hard. This feel like promotional material. I'd bet all of these are currently streaming on varying services. I mean looook at all these shows you haven't seen. Do you want to be the only one who hasn't seen PEN15? If you don't keep paying higher and higher monies to your streaming overlords you'll miss the the in progress award winning shows. Do you want to be a social pariah?
I would actually recommend PEN15 to anyone willing to listen

True Detective shouldn't even be considered a series. Just an 8-part miniseries with 3 more fan fiction spins afterwards.
Vince Vaughn as a cop was the worse TV in HBO. I bet there is a star at the lobby when they killed that character.

I was discussing this list with my wife yesterday - from the other comments we've watched more than the average person here. I'd say we've seen 4 out of every 5 shows at least one season and probably finished about 20% of them (with minor exceptions like spin offs or movies or new seasons in the last few years with a hiatus).
What struck me was the inclusion of Suvivor and Ru Paul - I don't doubt their cultural impact and significance, nor their importance towards their fans - but as a mark of quality of what a TV experience can be, considering performances, risk-taking, writing depth, cinematography, music, costuming, editing, props design, imagination and ingenuity - I wouldn't have included those in the Top 100.
The Good Place should be ranked 1st because the list is subjective and I disagree with it, also I haven't watched most of these shows. Community would be in 2nd place.

I don't think I know anyone that would argue with Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, and maybe The Wire (I don't know any of you contrarians) but the rest of the list just doesn't have nearly the writing quality. Which is really weird to think about. 3 shows (really 2, Better Call Saul is really Breaking Bad) that are exponentially better than the rest.
Edit: I mean White Lotus is on there. I couldn't finish the first season. It wasn't dark or witty. It was just rich people being rich people.
I loved BB and BCS but it feels like you're putting them on pedestal. They're obviously examples of great writing but they aren't in a class of their own, certainly not to an "exponential" degree. I'd put Chernobyl or Band of Brothers, just to start, on the same level. Possibly season 1 of True Detective as well, as a self-contained story. And I haven't seen every show on this list.
I'll also say that Black Mirror has some of the best psychological horror I've ever seen. It might not be an epic serial like BB but not much media has scared me to the core like Black Mirror. Not every show needs to try to do what BB did.
I've tried to watch BB 3 separate times and just could not get into it. I recognize I'm in the minority here and that taste is subjective. But I genuinely did not like it without just being contrary for the sake of it.
I followed it for couple of seasons before realizing that I didn't care about anything happening in it. It happens!
If that's all you got out of the White Lotus then you went in trying to dislike it for being a show about rich people.
I would say you believe this for two main reasons. One, those are some of the shows that you watched and are familiar with, and you've seen spectacularly little of what is actually on that list.
And two, your own subjective experience is dictating what you feel is better versus what is worse, which is ultimately a completely useless way to estimate how good something actually is.
Furthermore, lists like this are intentionally inflammatory. They'll put several genuinely good entries way too low on the list specifically so people will argue about it and drive engagement.
I mean, Westworld didn't even make the cut but Scandal did.
