Change that to black, and it's my Arch desktop. On my machines that run a desktop, anyway. Nice.

Gotta use #000000 as the wallpaper for a 10/10 minimalism experience. So when it's idle, you're not even really sure if the screen is turned on.
(Honestly, that's what I do with my laptop. That, and a background terminal window open by default that takes up most of the screen, so that at first glance it looks like a text-only interface. Actually very convenient for launching whichever program I want when I boot it up. Just type in the command for it (or the aliased shortcut) and hit enter.)
Fair point. And I am using an OLED screen these days, too...
I use gray for this reason, I want to know that it's on. I also use KDE with hotkeys for manual tiling as I prefer windows to float by default and the window shadows make it a lot easier for me to visually parse what's on the screen. The shadows would be invisible against a black screen.
usually when someone presents their rice, they also include some applications and at least a fetch :)
When you have perfection, you don't go marring it!

At this point, I would call this nihilistic
Minimalism final boss.
